  4. Could you have a rodent problem? Mice or rats in the wall cavity.
  5. That dog looks a belter mate. Is it beddy X grey or is there some bull in there? Looks to have a real strong head, but i know the coats can be deceptive.

  9. How many types of collie are there? Does it really matter? Collie Xs is a collie x. And bull x is bull cross untill you start being specific. your saying that unless a certain type of bull terrier is used to creat a lurcher its not a bull cross, which is wrong.
  10. Bollox mate, All the dogs you mention are bull types therfore Bull Xs.
  11. The dog on the left is the spit of my pup. How tall is it?
  12. My brother has just bought a bull X And i cant work out how its bred. Its sire is 1/2 grey 1/4 bull 1/4 saluki its dam is 5/8 grey 3/8 bull. So what that make this pup?

  14. Hi mate, i have a very similar dog (dog a search for billy). these are great little dogs. As for training, getting her to retreive to hand is important. All the best, Dave.
  15. Has anyone heard of or seen anyone using more exotic running dogs such as Chippiparai or Hortaya?? Or lurchers off them? How did they perform? They all appear to have been bred to catch hare and deer. I don't understand why Salukis were brought to these shore's but none of these others were? Any thoughts.?
  16. Decent looking bitch you've got there mate. nice pictures too
  17. I believe alfred was a Bedlington cross also. It's suprising how true to type Beddys Xs are compared to most other lurchers. Cheers for the replies.
  18. My dog Billy is bred the same and stands at 23" tts I think he was fully grown, height wise at about 11 months maybe a bit less
  19. Some of you will remember my post about Billy Hitting a wall whilst out lamping, well here we are a couple of weeks later! Stitches out and vet says he is healing well. He still has a terrible limp but its improving everyday. On his first walk since the crash he spotted a couple of rabbits in a field and had to be restrained You have to admire the spirit of a running dog. Cheers, Dave.
  20. on a serious note Your fox has got a bullX growing out of his mouth.
  21. Thanks for all the replies lads! Its good to know they recover well from this. It was just the impact that damaged his lung he has no broken ribs.
  22. I was out with my dog one night last week, my dog Billy chased a rabbit into a field he has not run in before. He ran into an almost invisible ditch and hit a bit of drystone wall. I thought he had smashed his shoulder but didnt know for sure, the vet xrayed him and said he had not broke owt but he had punctured his lung. Vet said he should make full recovery. Just a terrible accident.
  23. This is exactly what my dog (also a beddy X) does! Then he is reluctant to jump if he gets a scratch
  24. Cheers everyone heres a better pic of Billy.
