    Hi all. Been watching this site for a while but have now decided I should join in. I have to control squirrels and rabbits for work using Fenns, snares and air-rifle and occasionally get to do a bit of ferreting. I have a 2 1/2 year old lab x pointer whose training is very much "on-going" but is proving to be an excellent retriever and marks like a laser-guided missile. I've had help with the dogs training but everything I've learned about trapping and dealing with game has been self-taught. Hopefully by being on this forum I can learn to do what I enjoy better.     I feed my dog dry food but like to supplement it with real meat and veg every now and again. It's usually table scraps but I've recently aquired more rabbits than I can eat or freeze. So the question is: should I cook the meat first or is there no need?

    Do you guys use priests to dispatch pricked game? If you do, do you buy ready made or make your own?

    About 50yds unless the weathers nice in which case I'll treat the dog to the 20 minute route.
