When I was beating they was a fine to be paid if the gun shot one and money to be put behind the bar for the beaters! But on beaters day if u didn't shoot one you had to put money behind the bar

Not all trainers ,handlers are good though, just because a gaver passes a exam doesn't mean they good dog handlers,
If I left my dogs in a box for 10 hours I'd get done for cruelty
This old boy was in his 70s don't think he's ever done an exam but was good with his dogs , when he was showing me around I sed that's a good looking dog he stopped n sed I don't breed for looks I breed for temperament! Ha

The breeder we used for the stud dog was saying that most police dogs spend 10 hours a day in a box in the back of a car so they don't need any fancy working lines just a loud dog with a good off switch, he had some malis cross shepherd's that looked nice but he sed was hard work, he was an interesting bloke was explaining what different forces want in a dog etc and how they test them

How does a reared rabbit taste compared to a wild rabbit?
When I had meat rabbits we killed them at 12 weeks so the meat is alot tender than an old buck from the wild, I fed pellets root veg n forage from the verge , I'd like some more one day

When I was 16 I'd go to the local market buy any baby rabbits under £2 , stick them on my ts50x ride in to Hull n sell them to the pet shops for £7 each paid my petrol for the month ( now I think you have to be defa registered to sell to the shops )
