Hi yes on some other sites I have asked most have said honda trx 420

Sure I read somewhere that a single shocker wasn't the best when you get a bit of weight on the quad but can't be that bad if it's been recommended thanks

I have a honda trx420 and 350 as well both with single spring on the rear, you can adjust the spring to make it firmer. I have the box's on the back that double as a second seat that are loaded with shite. if I carry an adult on the back they do sag a bit, definitely more than my old 400 honda with 2 rear springs did. Over here you can only get the independent rear suspension on the 500 Rubicon.

Lotta sand and really windy.  Waters nice though and where not far from a Space X launch site so might see something get launched . Apparently this gas blend stock where hauling goes right to it

But other then all the wind and the sand not too bad. Lotta aquatic life here by the dock

Whatever these fish are they don't wanna bite anything. If I had a cast net I could rack up on bait but o well.

Did manage to catch my first full size speckled trout though

Theres also a lot of what I think are ribbon fish . They peck at the lure a bit but won't take any bait so idk. Hopefully I get to see something else soon.

Looks like spotted / speckled seatrout Woolfy, caught quite a few in Florida

  3. I would go used Yamaha or Honda, (I've always had Honda and never been left stranded), slower than some and maybe not the best riding but pretty bombproof, Yamaha maybe a fraction behind honda in reliability and belt drive if that bothers you but more powerful and better riding. Can-am make nice machines but pricy and all that power tends to break things, suzuki machines are pretty nice as well, polaris are better than the Chinese but still pretty unreliable on the whole, I would personally stay away from anything else / and deffo stay away from the Chinese quads.

We are fishing a big lake called cold lake mate, think we are around 3 miles towards the middle in 130ft of water. Ice is only 16" and there is a load of heaves with open water, didn't want to risk bringing tge truck on 👍

  5. The Doctor said: "The good news is I can cure your headaches...The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition which causes your testicles to press up against the base of your spine and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles."

Joe was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for. He couldn't concentrate long enough to answer, but decided he had no choice but to go under the knife.
When he left the hospital, he was headache free for the first time in over 20 years, but he felt as if he was missing an important part of himself.
As he walked down the street he realized he felt like a different person. He could make a new beginning and live a new life. He saw a men's clothing store and thought, "That's what I need, a new suit."The elderly salesman eyed him quickly and said, "Let's see, you're a size 44 long."

Joe laughed and said, "That's right, how did you know?"

"Been in the business 60 years!

"Joe tried on the suit. It fit perfectly. As Joe admired himself in the mirror, the tailor asked, "How about a new shirt?" Joe thought for a moment and then said, "Sure.""Let's see, 16 and a half neck, 34 sleeve.

"Joe was surprised. "How did you know?"

"Been in the business 60 years." The shirt fit perfectly.

As Joe looked at himself in the mirror, the salesman said, "You could use new shoes."

Since Joe was on a roll, he said, "Sure."

The man eyed Joe's feet and said, "9-1/2E."

Joe was astonished. "That's right. How did you know?"

"Been in the business 60 years." Joe tried on the shoes and they also fit perfectly.

As Joe walked comfortably around the shop, the salesman asked, "How about new underwear?"

Joe thought for a second and said, "Why not."
The man stepped back, eyed Joe's waist and said, "Let's see, size 36 Waist."

Joe laughed. "Finally I've got you! I've worn size 32 since I was 18 years old."

The tailor shook his head. "You can't wear a size 32.

Size 32 underwear would press your testicles against the base of your spine and give you one hell of a headache.....

Made up a few of these for camping last week. Not great with a welder, but got the job done. Good thing about them is that you can change the hight of the trivet with different size bolts for the legs

When the run is on the pools are black with fish, theres 100+ good salmon rivers in Quebec alone,I have been chatting with my kids about a 2 week salmon trip, but I think my best chance for a 40 is on the west coast.

If your heading to BC for a big chinook Mackem, I would head north, Rivers Inlet does monster size fish every year, there or Haida Gwaii would be my choice. Or if u fancy something a a bit different you could try catch a genuine tyee in a rowing boat off Campble River (the Tyee club of BC).

  9. My old lurcher tangled with 3 porcupines the first couple of years we were here before she realised not to go near them. It was no fun pulling the quills out for me or her. They call them survival food here because they are about the only thing u can catch and kill with nothing but a stick, but most people shoot them on sight due to risk to dogs and cattle....

  10. Went back to the uk last month for a fortnight to visit family, my first time back in 9 years. I think the biggest shock was the volume of traffic on the roads, and just how busy everywhere was.  We seemed to be constantly stuck in traffic, (even midweek during the day), on roads we never used see a soul on. To be honest the roads didn't seem that much worse than when I left, but they were shocking when I left from memory.

well that is the fish of a lifetime for many people a real dinosaur of a fish, superb angling  are you planning more trips would be great to see more.

I try and get out to the river fraser at least once a year, today was our last day of a 4 day trip. We ended up with 14 sturgeon with my sons been the biggest at 8ft 1. My best was 7ft 6 and my mates best a 6ft 10. We also had a few salmon but wasted a load of time trying for salmon as the run is only just starting. My mate also had an albino which is quite rare. 20230903_063701.jpg.75dd26fd2d0ebed270c931584ff9c897.jpg
