  4. it hit the other side of a banking i had it from a pup and was well educated just to keen ihave awhippet grey hound at the moment and she has lost a toe in her first season same thing allways injured need speed round my way so now rearing saluki grew x whippet grew ill get it right yet
  5. beter to get one from a pup and rear it to it but they still get horrific injuries mines broke its neck at 18 months only dog i had to get killed in the field wouldent have another
  6. frank i have coursed whippets for about 25 years,but as as in hunted up hares. the one i own just now has been the best as the others lacked stamina those were mostly off racing stuff and yousually had carry them home bigger heart than lungs you see my current one has killed alot of hares but in small fields .he was brought up on hares as thats all there is around my area.so the answer is yes they will kill hares put up at are there nose great little pot fillers all the best with youres frank

  8. id match my deerhound/greyhound on any breed , its not the breed , its the heart , i have a little 18'' whippet which runs round colliexgreyhounds ect round this way , depends on how hard your dog works , my deerhound/greyhound would run hare after hare , not bigging myself / my dog up but i just know what my dog can do , you cant say deerhound x 's are useless , ect , they are adapted and can run any land , at end of day its all down to what dog suits you , same as i wouldnt touch a bull/greyhound , its all just peoples opionons Dale ONES IVE SEEN ARE USUALY TO BIG AND CLUMSY FOR A

  11. i have the same problem it starts before i even get them out the kennel. my lurcher bitch starts shaking my springer by the leg or ears as they are kenneled together.then the rest of the troop join in and its not as if hes soft hes the oldest and most dominant dogbut just seems to except this ive tried giving them a slap but doesent do any good. thats the only problem ihave with my dogs must be a spaniel thing
  12. i am currently rearing a saluki /greyhound x whippet /greyhound that i hope will be agood hare retriever. she is genuinly bred, has any body seen any of this breed working and if theyare any good.

  15. they are all full ped the dog in the last pic is 20 inches and 30lbs and was a regular hare dog all my dogs are bred off him
  16. depends where your coursing mate. if its down the fens then theres nothing to touch a saluki cross.cow parks are adifferent story as alot of saluki crosses are to coursie and just follow a big r to the cover i own a whippet x grew that thrives on this type of ground but would fail miserbly on big ground.
