    am really after long net setup must be gd,also needing a mink trap and would consider some good ferret nets not the cheap ones,also on look out for a single terrier box, iam not sure off price, box is 15ft and collar is a 8ft one theses items still make good price on ebay, but would prefer to swap some items and try to save people spending cash if they have something to swap. iam from Aberdeenshire.

    I bolted one with ferrets last season, I was kneeling down a gd bit away from hole and it came running at me took a second to realize what was coming at me so fast lol

    The old keeper was an uncle he was a hardy old sod, it was him who first took me out ferreting and then bit foxing he reckoned you needed at times to be able to handle them so taught me how, they were still shot mate, not so many years ago I worked on a outdoor pig breeding unit in 2 weeks we had 9 which were all scruffed from snare and taken by vets to be destroyed, we carried around 1200 sows so you could imagine the amount of piglets running around, and also the amount being taken by fox

    Not done it for a while but good few years ago have taken many from snares with no problems, I have seen couple blokes get bitten but they were nervous as hell when doing so which doesn't help, it was an old keeper who used to take me out and with him u had no option but get on with it

    Just bn reading post and have question I am a licensed slaughterman, and wonder would it be legal to use captive bolt gun to put fox down, as part of my job we go round farms for humane dispatch and collection of sick and injured animals, I do lot of vermin control with lurchers and patterdale for farmers there for have no end of permission and am regularly asked to deal with foxes but normally call on a local friend with fac to deal with them , what's your thots

    Rottie x German Shepard, guard dog trained after having couple break ins, had her 3 years now she does the job well, never any problems now

    Got a tracer pro max, handle bought separate ,I find its perfect lasts all nite, got brand new for 90 quid, lamp battery and belt pouch for battery but use small rucksack for battery instead

    If u got cage take it in beroom with you for first few days maybe a week then move to kitchen then outside if going to be living in kennels, also being calm but firm with pup, I have done this with pups I have had and has worked up to now hope this helps

    I have a 1st cross she be 5 in December can't fault her great all rounder,and uses her brain very well, she retrieves very well quite gentle too, she had bad start in life but have put alot of work in her and its really paid off, couldn't be without her atb mate

    Got a collie x grey 1st cross she will be 5 years in November she doesn't mess around, she great all rounder lamp day and with ferrets, got her bringing on my 20 month collie x grey x deerhound, she tends to be a bit dominant with the younger dog when out and sometimes needs reminding iam pack leader not her, but she is great couldn't and wouldn't be without her.
