  1. Who said anything about running stuff into the ground thats your opinion LOL my dogs retrieve if its small game they have run. I dont need to big Salukis up they were around long before I was born and will be long after ive gone unlike the bull x fad. i dont tell anyone what dog to run or to buy they feed em not me so their money how they spend it their concern.

Adding a bit of bull ?what for exactly, its hard to see what it would bring to the cross

Stops them waiting for mistakes and gets things killed in the same county you slipped in,

It all depends on what dogs you run and if you want mongrels or not.
It shouldn't matter pure doesn't allways mean best. If it does tell me why please ?

Im not worried whether my dogs pure or not I'm worried about what's caught and how db 99.9% of Salukis sit behind stuff and wait for a mistake its there style I don't like that might work in a big desert or even a fen it's not something I'd want for most of the uk.

My dogs run any land any quarry as do a lot of lads with good pures dont need deserts or the fens and if its there to be killed it will be

With all due respect I think your wrong. And other lads ain't on here saying there got everything you need in a running dog. I've seen Arcticgun put on here before they ain't for everyone but he likes em. That's fair enough. But they ain't what you make out desertbred not in my eyes.

Most sit behind stuff run it into the ground and wait for mistakes. You go to most places when the soft stuff is dead that will lose you a lot of stuff.

It's obvious your abit kennel blind about the pures so I'll agree to disagree. Best of luck for the coming winter

I know my stock so far from kennel blind if a dog is shit I say so . as for bull x,s my opinion they are shit. Arctic has coursers and Salukis thats his choice as far as I know he hasnt got any with bull in wonder why? Dont forget I run for the sport not for the pot so what I have suits me just fine. if I wanted freezers full I would shoot it simple really.

  5. Salukis can vary in height weight and conformation from 24 to 28 inch tts the bitches usually range from 24 to 26 and dogs from 24 to 28. tts. The weight and thickness of coat can depend on the region they are from. Some variation of colour from solids to grizzle and broken colours but steer clear of brindle USA kc has just recognised brindle but COO dont accept them as being from pure stock.

  6. Hares are on their own territory 24/7, a strong hare is fit and a top notch athlete, they are always up for a run and fancy their chances , they never get into flying mode until the dog is on them ,they know where the dog is and dont get the ears back until its escape mode kicks in. A lot pf experienced dogs will run wide or in an arc to try to confuse the hare as to what they are actually after, many a good courser will sit to the left or right of the hare especially to turn it from cover or drop a gear to let the hare settle into its comfort zone before ratcheting it up a notch and then dropping off again thats an experienced dog on a fit top notch hare the weaker ones will be knocked over in a window box.. If the hare is really up for it , it will try to straight line the dog seen it happen many times towing a dog from pillar to post, if it comes under the cosh it will go to ground, use hedge rows, ditches tracks and tarmac, drop into a seat even somersault over the dog to give it the slip. nothing better than two animals at the top of their game trying to out smart each other thats the adrenalin rush rather than the kill.

  7. The mere mention of giving law in a match or course brings looks of either disbelief or disdain from most of the running dog lads now. Usually they prefer it to be steaming in the seat or just getting up to have a look round. The usual argument is based on the premise that the other lad will slip straight away on sight and every ones idea of 50 or a hundred yards varies wildly. There is a good argument for independent slippers especially in matches . if your out for something for the pot then distance of slips isnt important but in a competition or match then the playing field should be ability of the dog to match the hare it is slipped on not who can bend the rules to gain an advantage that isnt what sport should be about. My slipping policy is if the dog sees it and its in the same county fire it off then its up to the dog to get on or not.

  8. It was the publicly funded BBC at its biased best.IT was a squandered opportunity to put the RSPCA onto a Nationwide pedestal to show its bias and its total incompetence to fulfill its role as an animal welfare association. It highlighted cases prosecuted against 4 people who where neither intentionally cruel nor guilty of any visible crime, they failed to show how much publicly donated charity money was spent on the cases nor did it highlight cases where even high court Judges had questioned money spent prosecuting cases that would not have reached court except as privately funded prosecutions. They showed two defence Barristers who themselves are reluctant to defend animal cruelty cases as the RSPCA have unlimited funds to waste prosecuting private cases that the CPS see no grounds for taking to court. The BBC tried to guide towards the argument that fault was at CEO and the Committee level so was purely administrative and the remainder of the RSPCA was doing a excellent job when in truth as one of its ex CEO stated it is no longer fit for purpose.

Complaints should be directed to The BBC programme Director, ,your MP,s BBC points of view, and as many other media outlets as can be accessed

  9. This is the subtle difference between Coursing and hunting. Hunting is to put food on the table or should be it shouldnt be about big numbers to gain fame . The same coursing should be exactly that a dog running game on a level playing field pitting the skills of each species against the other ,the kill is the possible end result but not the main result .That is also the difference between coursing and matching one is about the skill the other is dependant on the kill.

  10. You want a good Solicitor or Barrister that is not afraid to rock the boat and will go at the Police and the RSPCA.. The Solicitor Alison Downes does lots of the coursing cases now she is pretty successful in her endeavours might be worth sounding her out.

Its obvious neither the Police nor the RSPCA are going to accept responsibility for their illegal and obnoxious actions so the right forum is for them to be challenged in a Court of Law. I cannot see any well established Media organisation being willing to become entangled in this affair until the right and proper legal channels of redress have been explored. Has the Countryside Alliance been approached re any support either financially or ethically in this matter as they appear to fully understand the criminality and underhand actions of the wrongly named charitable institution the RSPCA. Members of Countryside Alliance on THL may want to E-mail Mr Tim Bonner to enlighten him regarding this on going travesty and see if he will put an article in the numerous papers and magazines he has access to..

I do a bit of work in old people's homes. To see some of them poor cnuts slumped in chairs all day....17 year old care workers talking to em like shite. Think if I was in that position I'd hoard tablets and choose when I go.

Reflection of your society a very poor reflection.
but it's a society you have chosen to come and live in mate so what does it say for the one you left behind ??? Better or worse

Lol I'd take that over beheading, marrying children, praying to someone who doesn't exist and generally being a dirty smelly muslim

We dont discard our parents and Grandparents to be cared for by others so in this regard I would say ours is a better society in this particular instance.

Read the comment of the knickle dragger slip lead and ask what society or zoo he belongs in cretin.
