    Hello Matt, try joining and contacting the NGO and put your name on the job register. Also ask them about any local meetings.You would be welcome to go along to and have a chat with some of the keepers there. Theres some good shoots and keepers round your way,its just a case of getting your face reconised,beating,picking up. Also try ringing Easton College to see if they could put you in touch with any keepers who have lads on the NVQ courses or work experiance, they may be willing to give you some work if they see you are keen. Its often a case of who you know more than anything else so keep

    I paid £85 a couple of weeks ago. This didnt include proofing though,if you want reproofing I was told to allow just over £100 inc courier both ways.

    I Dont think there is a limit on numbers of FAC holders can have a piece of ground on their tickets. I have an open ticket but when I renew I have to provide a letter of permission to shoot over land which has 5 or 6 others on it. I would personaly put deer and fox control on the .243 slot and see if you get it to save yourself paying for a variation to add deer later on. Perhaps you could say that you are going to do the DSC 1 so need deer on the ticket. As for mods, in the boxes that you write what rifles you want put + sound moderator.     Finally got the rifle sorted. In the end the gunsmith had to resort to a pair of stilsons and a lot more brute force than i dared to put on the moderator. By the time it came off the mod was crushed. Jackson rifles honoured the guarentee and sent one down with %40 off of the price. Barrel had to have 3 inches cut off as crown and muzzle knackered.

    I have recently seen the worst lack of respect for quarry. People lamping rabbits who dont dont pick up anything that they shoot. Every rabbit that they shoot is left where they lay to rot. When asked what they were thinking and being told that they were disgraceful they informed me that they are not worth the effort to slow down to pick up when they only fetch 50p. Last spring i was later told that they shot over 500 rabbits all left to rot. Thats £250,and they are not worth picking up???!!! These people should be ashamed of themselves.

    I think im being paranoid,if its welded itself on im worried about any damage its done to barrel so dont want to fire it until its been removed,checked over and put back on again.

    Im looking for a new scope for the .22lr as my simmons has had it. Saw a hawke 3-9x40 hd sport with mounts for £40 reduced from £60. Are they anygood or should I stay with a simmons?     Its been soaking in kroil for 6 days and still wont shift,had it in the vice and tried with filter removing strap which snapped i tried so hard. Looks like it will be going in to be cut off and new screwcut and mod. If I do end up having to have a new mod should I stay with a T8 or what does everyone else use/recomend?

    I tried same with the WD40 but i will get some penertrating oil in the morning to see if it works. Do you thing that heating up with heat gun would damage the mod?

    I recently bought my mates CZ .243 with T8 reflex moderator. The problem is my mate rarely removed the mod and now it has welded itself to the barrel. I have tried flooding the mod wit WD40 for a fewdays and this didnt shift it. Has anyone any suggestions on how I might shift it without damaging the mod or barrel,or is it a job for the gunsmith. Could this already caused irreversable damage? Cheers David
