  1. We have said the same pal....keep waiting for her to do something that makes us think "ah thats why" but she has been fine. Gets on with the other dogs, doesnt bark, clean in the kennel. Does pull on the lead but we are sorting that out. Doesnt seem to know things like sit, stay, down etc but again that is easily remedied. Not food or toy aggressive. Maybe they just got bored or couldnt afford her anymore but there are better ways of doing it than tying her up imo. Would post her on dog lost and stuff aswell mate not to uncommon for lurchers to be pinch then moved on to a different county,
  2. I am hoping that now she has been in a couple of times that she will carry on going in with the others. Keeping fingers crossed that she will be a good worker but even if she isnt she will be a well looked after pet. Cheers lads
  3. Had to do a bit of remodelling on the kennel as we didnt really have the space but we have squeezed her in. Think she has been kept fastened outside tho as she seems to prefer laying out on the concrete to laying in on the bedding altho the last 2 nights she has gone in and stayed in. Our lass fell for her as she reminds her of the lurcher we had that got poisoned just over 12months ago. I think she would probably get rid of me before the dog now......

  5. It was my sister in law that found her on her way to work. A bloke from one of the nearby houses said he had been watching her for nearly an hour. She waited another half hour before she untied her and phoned our lass to go and pick her up. Phoned the dog warden and the rspca and local vets etc but none of them had any record of her being reported lost or stolen. She has no microchip. They have our number if anyone did come forward but she does have a few distinctive markings that someone would have to describe before I would even think about letting anyone come to see her. She was tied on the
  6. 1 more...this is what she was fastened to the lamp post with
  7. I am starting this thread about Cassie as we have decided to keep her ourselves. This is the bitch we found tied to the lamp post 2 weeks ago. She was underweight and had fur missing round her neck as the collar she had on was way too small and had rubbed the fur off. She is now starting to grow the fur back and has put on some weight so she is looking a lot better. I have my own ideas about her breeding but feel free to let me know what you think. I would say Grey/beddy/whippet. She is 23"tts. She seems keen when she is out but obviously we havent done much with her as she is still a bit nerv
  8. shes very keen and i know she will catch,we havent tried her with anything yet as she is still a bit nervous and we are trying to build her confidence first,it will take time but in the long run i think it will be worth it,shes not very old so we might have a chance of learning her a few bits,im going to start a new thread so you can see what progress she makes the thread will be called cassie the lampost lurcher,we will post pictures,so you can see the difference in her, cheers john.,
