  2. http://s771.beta.photobucket.com/user/darylbob/media/DSC00060.jpg.html this is what my lad did in a tarmac car park chasin a bunny accidents will happen. all i did was kept cleaining it with salty warm water twice daily an kept an eye on it, no bandages, took a few month to heal fully but it was good as new after tht i learnt my lesson after that though!

  5. went out tonight with our merlin on the lamp an had his first adult rabbit , ahhhh what a proud moment ! , he's just gone 2 now (i know what your all thinkin ) .... havent been able to get him out as much as id of liked too so he hasnt been able to hes been close a few times thats about it , but just lately ive been out a few nights a week so hes had a few more courses an seems to be getting the hang of things evidently, anyhow tonight i was (somewhere i shouldnt have been ) and there were a few sat out in this field but very skitish an with the field bein boggy hard to be quiet unfortunate

  7. i think because they have that reputation people tend not to try and socialize them , for instance my ex's mam tried to socialize her 7 month old with our merlin, playin away in the back garden then suddenly full blown aggression and a bit of an exchange, but that put her off and now its a little b*****d cant be trusted nr other male dogs at all, dont get me wrong i think they can be good dogs , and x38 regardless of whether they "finish" or not they still have the capability to do alot of damage i wasnt trying to compare the 2 just giving my opinion if you dont want the extra fuss go for a di
  8. i grew up with staffrordshires dogs and bitches and they were all untrustworthy around other dogs depending on sex like someone said earlier you have to have eyes in your arse and always be on the look out just an extra ball ache.a good dhx gh lovely calm temperament very laid back unless engaged first from my experiance , do anything your bull xs will apart from having a burning hate for anything with fur and four legs

  14. evening folks ,just been out wit dog come back to the house and noticed blood on the floor and hes managed to tear both his pads on the back of his ankles literally torn half the pads off so ive put a gamgee and bandeged it up and put some parcel tape over the top , the bleedins stopped ,would any of you lot think its a vet job? i dont think these bandage are gonna last long theyre in an awkward spot right on the joint by his ankle an he just wants to chew them off !

  16. cheers guys , nice looking dog that mate how old? and whats the breeding? ,. im into the bigger dogs too i have a 1st cross dhgh , but the beddie sounds like an ideal partner as ive heard theyll take on bush like troopers and also have good speed and agility

  18. yes it is mate, dam was witch full deerhound and sire was nobby lad one of dave sleights dogs hes had a few bunnies gonna give him one or 2 runs this winter nothing drastic giving him time to develop

  20. looks like a big strong lad ozzy just wanted to know how they work, best (attributes) , and as a pet (temperament) what are they like to train? im after a whirrier ya see its a toss up between a border and a wheaten for me
