Hey Was having a few jars with friends the over night and reloading came up. Now I didn't know so just sat back and lisened as they started rowing about whether you'd need to change your ticket to start reloading or just go out buy the tools and start. Can you chaps fill me in so I can settle this. Cheers Smudge

Well I'v had it to pieces and shaved a bit off the stock to give it a bit of clearance. I did find two little lugs on it which the barrel sits on which baffled me as I thought it was meant to be a completly floating barrel. Does anyone know if they can be taken off or are they ascentual.
-
Hey On the T3 is the barrel meant to float right up to the action. On mine when I run a piece of paper between barrel and stock it only gets to about the front of the scope. What sort of clearence should there be. Cheers Smudge

Hi all Just a quickie. I'm fed up of the standard trigger (too heavy for my liking) and I’ve wound the grub screw out as far as it will go. Does anyone know where I can get a trigger to suit which can be adjusted very light? Cheers Smudge

Miruku are a good weapon I use a little 26" barrel 3800 for everything from game including high birds to pigeon and rabbits, its never failed me. But Beretta silver pigeon or Browning 525 will do exactly the same. My advice would be to go to have a look in the gun shop and see what feels the best in your hands.

Yeah bud good glass. When I got one I wasn't sure it was going to last having always previously gone for top end glass. I must say in bad light conditions (dawn/dusk) it won't touch my s&b's but I'v had one on my .22lr for a few months and bashed it about a bit and used it for a lot of lamping and its still going and hasn't lost its zero so for the price I can't really fault it. Regards Smudge

Hello Has anyone used the air pro decoys from Decoying.co.uk on a whirler look a good idea but a bit pricy. http://www.decoying.co.uk/?page=show-item&item=592 Cheers smudge

There mainly going to be used early morning and dusk for deer. Budget is £250 but it will stretch a bit. I know you get what you pay for with glass, would love some swaro's but can't even find some secondhand in my budget.

Hello Made my mind up I need some good Bino's and got it narrowed down to two models 'Hawk Frontier ED Binoculars' or some'Vortex Vipers' both 8x42 and in my price bracket. Has anyone used them, owned them even had a look through them at dusk? Cheers smudge

Does the trigger on the Anschutz 1417 have an adjustable trigger pull similar to the sako quad with an allen key screw adjuster.

Just applied for another 22lr had my dads anschtuz semi on my ticket for 6 years but gave up using it, crap trigger and grouped like a shotgun and found my .17hmr to be too loud for lamping after a wile the rabbits get a bit weary. I'm torn between 3 all bolt action Anschutz, CZ or sako. The latter I know all about as thats what I got my 17 in and like it but could someone fill me in on the other two. Accuracy, trigger and anything else helpfull? Thanks Smudge

What about tube size any preferance. I've got a 25mm and and a 30mm Sundaybain and to be honest theres not a lot of difference would of had another 25mm tube but 30 mm was all he had in stock when I picked the rifle up.
-
Yeah mate run two Hungarian s&b's 8x56 one 25mm one 30mm tubes myself can't fault them brilliant at collecting light. Knocked one about a fair bit but has never lost its zero. Hope that helps mate.

Hey This may sound a thick question beings I'v been shooting rifles for years but could someone clear this up for me. Is the variable parallax the focus on the back of my my s&b 8x56 and does anyone know whether a cobra merlin wouuld do the job on the back of it or will I require some new glass. Cheers Smudge
-
Hey Thinking of getting a merlin seems like good value for money and need something to get those lamp shy bunnies eating my barley. I run a schmit and benders 8x56 would the merlin be good on it or is it going to require another scope? Cheers Smudge

Know this is a bit off track could someone clear the open ticket thing up for me please, does the land you go on still have to be certified for the caliber your using or do you just need writen permision from the owner? Ive applied for a .243 to be used on my own bit of land and now I've had a few people ask if I could go and tidy up a fox or two for them but their land isn't certified for a .243 but wondered wether I could do it if I got a open ticket? Ive had rimmys for the last 5 years but the fao said I was to have a mentor for the .243 which I said wasn't a problem and a mate put his
