Over the past 3 days my young dog has gone off his normal feed (DR Johns biscuits and fresh rabbit/pheasent) he hasn't touched it , iv tried pouring gravy, fat and milk over it but he just drinks it and leaves the biscuits. he's eating other stuff like porridge, eggs and he will eat meat if it's cooked, still only in small portions
he's perfectly normal in himself and still runs round like a head case, wondered if anyone had a idea of what's going on and anything I can try
cheers

My 2 still do it the lurcher (about 20mths) comes back if I shout him but my collie charges off and won't come back till she's had a good sniff it's my fault she was the first dog I trained and messed that bit up but I keep them both on the lead if it's in public not just cause of the collie but I don't trust other peoples dogs

Do you feed them something different if your planning to go out for extra energy, other than biscuits or meat?

My dog has had all his normal exercise , free running and running for a few miles with me but hasn't been out lamping for about 2 weeks for different reasons
Took him out for a few runs on lamp tonight and I was shocked at how much fitness he had lost and how much longer it took him to recover!

I got a bit of a shock this morning when i went to ferrets this morning to say the least. On one of the hutches that had 3 jills in had its door ripped off (guessing the horses have rubbed on it coz the fence was down which usually stops them getting near) anyway there was only 1 to be found she was curled up, but when i picked her up she had a cut in the middle of her head and some fur missing on her side, guessing she had been scrapping with a rat as there's plenty around. I wiped it up with warm water and a bit of salt, its a clean cut a little deeper than i first thought but not serious, i was wondering what i should use on it, if anything at all, iv got some gel from the vets for horses when they get minor wounds would that be ok?
I found the other 2 in a fit state under the shed and at the otherside of a beck in a tree!
Thanks Nat

Likes been said they should be fine for about a week together (that's when I think mine will be coming in to season) then separate them. But you will need to bring the jills out of season or it can be dangerous, there's been a few topics on this recently have a look at them mine get fed at meat, whole rabbits carcass anything like that at about 6ish just because it works fir me at that time, in winter on a morning I give them a bit of dry food so it's there all day for them. The odd egg and bit of goats milk is also good for them
atb happy hunting!

Great pics, the dog might be lazy but he's clever to go through fence like that
