  1. To get this thread back on course (no pun intended) John Glover used to live near a friend of mine in Bedworth Warwickshire, I'm told he was a bullshitter and fantasist from way back when. Studding his whippet at 7 months old should tell you all you need to know. Just another ego desperate to be heard - he's on every forum out there and regular in CMW. I'm also reliably informed that he doesn't even own a Bedlington even though he preaches in his boos about them. He's probably tossing himself off knowing that people are talking about him on here.
  2. I did make my feelings known on another forum at the time. I got a pm taday telling me that Strongstuff said he'd never go back to this show as it was under par. And wasn't there some whoo haaa about a show dog winning one of the the terrier classes? Definately not woth the petrol money or the time. The Royal Welsh show is on the official showground down the road, and not in an overgrown field. The Heart of Wales show is in no way connected with this event.
  3. We travelled down from Derbyshire last year and were very disappointed with this so called game fair. It's more of a local show really, not many stalls, you could have looked round it in 5 minutes. It is unfair and irresponsible to advertise this as a big event because people will travel long distances to the what amounts to be the middle of bloody nowhere (you will see what I mean when you try to find it) Save your hard earned for one of the proper events of the summer.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I have his coat done regularly. He's a great little terrier, up for anything, loves hunting rabbits. And loves his Fball. http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww15/truebluebeddyman/chip3189.jpg
  5. My Patterdale Al seems to be a bit more hairy and a bit more robust looking than a lot I have seen at shows and Gamefairs. His breeder told me he was the TRUE old Cumbrian working type that go back generations. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
  6. There used to be a Jack Russel x Yorkie in our village. Talk about game, scared of nothing.
  7. Dhaiatsu sportrack, Rough but tough. Before I discovered Discoverys and Range Rovers.
  8. I thought it was time I joined the hunting life. My name is Jonathon, we have a Patterdale terrier and might add a smallish lurcher soon.
