    falconry as a job

    i have seen many places whare jobs are offerd for falconers to work on air fields ect doing pest control, does anyone do this for a living?

    my mhh went through the same thing and sometimes still does it, he is silent when hunting and when i am not about but still some times kicks off. i got him to stop alot of it by getting someone else to feed him and also not to feed him off of there fist after a while he stoped, he's not 100% but nearly there hope this helps

    nice pnotos mate i also have a mhh and people have said to me that they wont take rabbit, i dont think theses people have ever flown a good fit mhh mine gets phesants as well. mine flys at 1 lbs 6.5oz at the moment but when he is fit around christmass time he will be 1lbs 7.5 oz. i have evan had a mhh that flys at 1lbs 4oz that still got rabbits. good luck with him i hope your good season carrys on.

    went out on sataday with a friend to some new land i have got permmision on, we took my male Harris Hawk ranger and his male Harris Hawk plus my jill ferret. started off good with the first rabbit boulted being court after a not to bad chase from ranger my mhh , he then went on to have another good long chase but missed it, we boulted about 9 rabbits but as the cover was still high there not all for the rabbits ran out in to the open. ranger took a secound later in the day and my friends bird , had a third shortly after.

    flying a kestral

    i am thinking about getting a kestral for my son, i have never flown a kes befor. he realy want one for his first bird i would be doing most of the wieght control etc and showing him a bit at a time. i am new to falconry my self just finishing my first year any tips or help would be good thanks

    i had 20 kits born on sunday, i will be keeping a few but there are plenty left when they are ready to go so if anyone wants any pm me pic of the mums are on a thread in the ferreting section called new jills cheeers

    these are the 2 new jills i got the same ones that surprised me with the 20 odd kits they gave me on sunday. thanks for the advice i split the kits up between them and now the kits and the jills are doing fine cheers

    i was given 2 jills, i knew that 1 was in kit i put them in the same pen last night as i am putting a new pen up today, i went there thismorning to find about 25 kits, what should i do leave both jills in with them or take 1 out, or put half the kits in with 1 and the other half in with another? help please thanks
