    What we have to remember is that some guys have all the enthisiasm - but no permissions. If you're in that position then £50 for a day doing what you love doesn't seem so much I'm sure. Keeps me mindful of how lucky I am with my permissions and it's a big factor as to why I visit all my farmers Christmas Eve with a bottle of something nice for them!

    Thanks all for the replies. In the end I purchased a new Leupold 6x42. Got it for £250 which was a bargain - and the scope is fantastic! Steve

    I have a SAK mod on my CZ .22lr and have to say it does a fantastic job. I would highly recommend the SAK mod - good value too. Steve

    I am about to purchase a CZ .22LR and will be using the rifle predominantly for rabbit/hare control, with the majority of shots being between 20 and 100 yards max. I fancy a new scope and was looking to find a used Schmidt & Bender 6X42 - but then having found one the guy selling it suggested that really it was probably over the top and not even the best for what I want. He suggested that the reticule would be too heavy and although they were fantastic scopes it was intended for much heavier rifles and game. It has been suggested to me to look at Leupold, Hawke, Bushnell or Nikko

    ***** NOW SOLD ***** Theoben Rapid 7 Mk1 .22 & Simmons WTC 3.5-10 x 50 Mint condition Rapid 7 and scope - any blemishes in the photos are reflections or dust - this gun is perfect in both appearance and operation. The gun's serial number is 003628. I purchased this in the year 2000 at The Airgun Centre in Rayleigh, Essex. It has been fully serviced once by Theoben (via The Airgun Centre) - other than that this gun has never been tampered with. The gun is fitted with the Theoben Vortex silencer which is extremely effective. It is also fitted with an excellent Simmons Whiteta
