    Went out last night for a wander, weather was really rough, hammered down all night. Started off really well with a couple of testing runs on some very mobile rabbits. As the night progressed conditions worsened with a lot of the fields holding so much surface water anyone would think they had ponds in them. Then one of the wires to my battery came loose but manage a quick repair and persevered into the night. Finally at about 1 decided to finish up, was soaked to the skin and the dog had taken 8 out of 14 runs, not bad for the pup only 11 months old First lurcher i've had from a pup so

    Have you tried using a rabbit pelt on a dummy tied to a piece of string, keep teasing the dog with it getting it really geed up, move the dummy when the dog attemps to pick it up and eventually it will strike. This method is proven to work.

    Got 2 jacks and 2 lurchers, don't think the missus will allow any more, reckons she doesn't see enough of me as it is. Not my fault... work gets in the way
