  1. If two dogs are slipped together and they dont make any mistakes i.e. one trips and joins in again few seconds later! It would be ok... But in reality thoses things happen and dogs end up running different courses altho they are chasing same thing and thats when it gets risky! Lamping is a risky buissness anyway and in my view running two dogs together makes it even riskier, my dog was on a chase this season when lamping and a mates dog slipped its lead and joined in and had a collision with my dog, two dogs lucky and escaped but could have been different story the speed they traveling. In my
  2. Any of you guys feeding the dogs complete food only? If so what kind and are you getting good results on it?
  3. my bitch is insured with petplan £14 a month. My mate has his dog insured over the last year i am surprised petplan are still in business!!! Vets are the best thing when they save our pride and joys but they over charge their services and we suffer when its our turn to pay!
  4. I aint a fan of the mole skins, shirt and tie but ten times more likly to get a bit permission when asking if you swap them for the trakies. If i took someone to one of my permission with trakies and trainers on the land owner would look down his nose land is hard to get so i try look after it! I think most people i know that run dogs are from council estates and some good some bad but most of them including myself respect the country and animals we hunt, Upper class land owners are scared of the day they have never seen if they see someone walking their land that looks like a ned they worry..
  5. Lightforce striker 140 - I have 140 and 170 the 140 with 100w buld is better and smaller and is good for big game in big parks no need for a blitz! 14amp lith deben battery lasts all night and its light and durable. I would not use a lamp with no dimmer now they make a big difference. Striker 140 dimmer with 100w bulb and 14amp lith battery - Sorted
  6. I bike the two of mine superb way to keep them fit, My suluki/ghound gets around 45mins to an hour keeps her in good nick. My collie/ghound gets the same but looks like she could do three times that easy! Just got to watch the tempature at this time of year. Start your dog off keep an eye on dog and build it up over 3 or 4 weeks. I go at fast walking pace on the hard surface and varys off rad fast down hills and slow up lol
  7. I used a 170 striker for last couple of seasons it is good lamp after i re-wired it!! Got a 140 striker variable power at the start of year my intention was to change the head on the lamp and bulb with my 170 head but after using the 140 with 100w bulb i think its a better lamp than the 170 its a better size fits down the jacket sleave and beam just as good as 170. The variable power is superb after using one i would never go back transforms MY night out!! 12v 14amp Lithium battery is cracking bit of kit to if it only lasts two seasons i will go buy another one... Worth it!!
