    Hi guys, thanks for the replies. In South Africa they limit us to caliber and not power. We can buy .177 (4.5) & .20 (5.0) without a license. But from .22 (5.5) and bigger you require a license and you WILL get into alot of trouble if you are caught with one of these without a license. This Hatsan Mod 135 is .177 (4.5) at 1200 fps. Im looking at doing some pest control and a little hunting. As I said rats, mice, birds, rabbits, etc. Anything I can kill with a single shot. I dont want to do any in-humane hunting. Thanks, Roger!

    Hi, I am new on this forum and this is my first post. I have a question. I have bought myself the Hatsan Mod 135 and i will be getting it tomorrow. I bought it because it was well priced and advertised at 1200 fps. My question: Is it a good rifle for pest control? (Mice, birds, rats) Thanks, Roger!
