  6. Has tile,if both of these pellets in .22 were equally has good has each other accuracy wise in your rifle which one would you choose to use
  7. Don't be getting on the bus with your rifle dave you will cause a right stir lol
  8. Ok dave I will have to give in and admit your the daddy lol
  9. I'm 55 and have been shooting since I was five so that's 50 years and makes me the daddy pmsl
  10. light Which light pellets and what do you zero at
  11. Any perticular reason why 28 yards?
  12. What distance do you zero at with .22 air rifle
  13. I've just purchased a hw100 I've heard some argue that heavier pellets do well on PCP and lighter in springers (or the other way around...hahahaha), but dont quote me on that. btw, lighter pellets are more screwed in crosswinds, something else to think about and another reason why a little extra weight helps in the practical field sense way. If you're hunting, you need to think about a lot more in this sense This is not quite try depends on BC of the pellet and a lighter pellet is not in the air as long . Test have been done which shows a .177 pellet takes less wind than a .22
  14. I managed to accuire half a tin of h@n ftt earlier for free from my local gun shop. I zero'd indoors at 14 yards and got a good grouping.wether the grouping will be worse at 25-28 yards remains to be seen
  15. Having just gone back to .22 after several years of using .177 would it be better for me to use a 13/14gn pellet for the slightly flatter trajectory of the more heavier .22 pellets
  16. I agree it is about shot placement but out to 40 yards max I don't think there is any need for .177 in my opinion Hmm. The thing is that both calibre's are as good as each other. A cracked record here but it really is a preference thing. End of this bloody calibre story A lot of the air gunners on here, I guarantee, will have both calibre's a in the cabinet. It's part of the joy of ownership and shooting. The need will come mate when your down at the peg, and find that the heavier 22 will not pass through the crate or the gap in the logs to hit the kill zone for the point or two. Most cour

  18. I have actually just purchased a rangefinder so this will come in useful. At what distance do you zero for .22
  19. My reason is this. With .177 i limit my daytime hunting to 35/40 yards and lamping I limit it to 25/30 yards. I feel no need for the .177 for these distances has im convinced that the .22 will do the job
  20. It's not a calibre debate p man,I used to use .22 and went to .177 a couple of years back and am considering going back to .22 and though I'd ask how many others have done the same
  21. I'm just curious to know how many of you that hunt rabbits started of using .22 went to .177 and back to .22
