  1. Brock's a hunter there fore automatically get's my vote, mate.
  2. Sure......I have no doubt. But the c**ts were passionate ,too. What they lack are communication skills. You'd be amazed how more open to new ideas alot of people are after a good ass whipping. At the end of the day bud , it dont really matter what anybody thinks of your dogs, everyone is allowed voice their own opinion, in the land of the free , and all that,, Best dog trainer in the world that I ever knew looked at me and then looked at the other guy and went " So.....what do you want it to do.?" What do I want it to do....Perfect

  4. Recently one of my countryman posted a neat thread illustrating how he hunts.....and someone else remarked how it even invvolved into a fight. Fact of the matter is...dogmen ( gundogs, lurchers/fast dogs/coyote dogs, terriermen etc...) are very passionate optimists. Think about it....you see a wobbly ,unsure, and scared baby. But subconciously you remember where it's Dam and Sire come from and what they do . Automatically, you are already envisioning Pups potential. And then when somone insults Pup ? He should be defended .....Make no mistake; some of the best fights I have seen
  5. One last thing before I have to start getting ready for work... Recovery .... you learn by looking at the color and sometimes the odor of the blood what kind of hit you made . Pink, frothy blood indicates a good lung hit. A heart is usually a little darker, same with the liver . A hit in the guts can be told by looking at your arrow...if it reeks like shit and has vegetable matter on it , than it was most likely a gut hit. But not always. I have taken a quartering away shots that passed through parts of the guts before entering the vitals. This is also why use bright white or chart
  6. Thanks for the replys , guys . Just wanted to shed some light on hunting with archery tackle. As far as hunting over bait as far as actual feeders, I'm not a real big advocate of it as I don't like to concentrate deer like that. Spreads diseases , in my opinion; like chronic wasting disease, bovine tuberculosis, and blue toungue . I mean it's one thing to have a 5 acre food plot or broadcast plant clover and /or turnips for browse, but it's another to have legions of deer feeding in a 60 foot circle. That being said, the one animal I do advocate (and have hunted in this manner) hunting
  7. Thanks for that Aaron Anytime, mate. As much as I love deer hunting with a bow....As of late, taking flushed pheasants and jumped ducks has been a hell of alot of fun. Problem is I like to eat them...and I don't bring home very many.
  8. Awright you non-archery hunting guys ...a little education and perspective. I hunt with a longbow and limit my shots to under 30 yards; but strive to get even closer ,say, 15. I use a 60 lb. Saxon longbow or either one of my Sunset Hill longbows ( 50 and 55 lb., respectively) and handmade cedar arrows . In over twenty years, I have taken numerous whiletail deer, mule deer, bears, antelope, and pigs. Etc.. Someone keeps saying that game "bleeds out" . That's not how it works in the sense that you are thinking. AS an arrow passes thru the heart/lungs it creates a channel that does he
  9. Tiff,

Wife loves your sig line of "Save the Tatas". LOL

  10. Never really considered myself fat , per se. Great....now I have body image issues.
  11. Thanks, scot....but truth be known I did get a little inflammatory a few pages back . Course, I had gotten into a barrel of wine I had made while back and it's not going to taste itself so I opted to help out....and as you well know one bottle isn't enough to really evaluate a vintage so I think I was well into bottle number ,like, 6. And tiff....nobody reads her posts, they just stare at her avatar . So I don't think she's really relevant. lol yea her aqvator is rather distracting so do you have a vineyard aswell aaron?watched a programme on vineyards once some of those vines go

  13. I have no doubt ,Tiff...in fact , I read some research by Quail Unltd. that said ferals are hell on quail and songbirds; damn near as much as habitat loss. But, ya know how things can be perceived.
  14. Kye, I get rid of that pic with the ditch cougar.....not that I haven't seen that happen.
  15. Yep x'2 ....buzzsaws with wheels and overdrive.
  16. They certainly don't mind a fight....what's also crazy is trapping them. They don't excavate catch circles; they excavate catch canyons , and do a pretty good job of disappearing into them.
  17. Both were sold last year before my orders took effect....waiting to see how the deployment winds blow before I get anymore.
  18. I hunt for trophy deer, elk , lion , bear ect... Taking pictures along the way ... Mounting the horns and tanning the hides And not a shred of meat goe's to waste.... Just as all the "trophy" hunters I know.... Your point is that what you do is so much more superior and ethical than the way other people hunt... You "feel" a need to justify your methods by claiming nutrition and a sense self reliance - and now you "feel" entitled by this to point your booger tipped dirty finger at another hunter in a blamefull manner... This dosn't wash mate.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OLPL5p0fM
  19. Its a big problem in our small island Aaron,we just dont have the amount of land you have in the USA,and our sport relies on the landowners confidence in a no fuss profesional job, including a good backfill job,the experianced lads know how hard it is to gain the permission and how easy it is to lose, personally i would back fill even if it was in the middle of the Arizona desert in a spot that had never seen a human footprint, better to put the ground right and have another days sport in the same spot the season after, theres no better critic of a bad "backfill" than a fox.Why cut your odds down
  20. Its become a fashion matey. Hate it when fashion goes awry....like leg warmers.
  21. You'd be better off with a couple strong 'catch' dogs and a knife....
  22. Just a question as I really don't know and was kind of under the impression that those that do digs are few and far between....but is dug up ground really that big of a problem ?
  23. I don't do earths ....but I know good conservation and field practices when I see it.
  24. Indeed, bro...I went to the evening watch so I could work them early of a morning and late at night after work.
