  4. went out with the cocker spaniel today and found it 30yds from were i shot it ! lying in some rough cover . thank god for that . but advice took on board anyway.cheers
  5. me and country-kid were out tonight and we managed to call our first fox in with a long range american coyote caller and then a"FOX CALL UK". we had a semi auto , hit with first shot missed with second.it ran off. just wondering will it come into the same calls again , daytime or night and will it be lamp shy. we are thinking about going out tommorrow early morning for a call . do you think theres a chance it'll come in again or am i just being stupid ??? cheers sharpey_93

  8. a freind on our syndicate has one of these.its mainly white and looks more like a hound.beats well , doesnt retrieve but if theres ever a rabbit in the wood its off like a rocket.haha. good loyal dog tho , he takes it everywer , even [bANNED TEXT] hes doing his chickens and it never bothers.

  10. well to cut a long story short , i work on a farm in cumbria and tonight when i was walking my dog , i seen a youngish lukin lad coursin roe just over the fence , so i shouted and ran over.his dog didnt get the roe but he had 3 dogs all together and was doing it fairly near to a road in broad daylight . i know for a fact theres only 3 roe on the whole farm , and said to him , im not gonna ring the police and get you in bother but just leav off the deer round here coz there isnt much about , i said out else that runs , you fire away .he was fairly ok with what i said and i had good crack with h

  14. how much would you have to spend for a new type berreta auto and can you get 5 shot autos on a shot gun licence ?
  15. im going to buy a 3 shot semi auto this weekend and want to spend around £250-£300new or secondhand just want something decent . what can i get for this price and any recomendations . I'll only be using it for driven foxes every sunday and pigeon decoying and roost shooting.oh and maybe the odd bit of rabbit shooting with the spaniel .any help would be great!
  16. just wondering . are saukis good all rounders?would they take fox , hare and rabbit on different types of terrian from large flat grassland to rough fell ground.also do they work well on the lamp and have they got te endurance to take big bags.
  17. i have recently bought myself a bolting rabbit to steady my dog and train it to sit to the flush because there is not ground game at all around me . but i was wondering whats the best way to use it n train me dog to sit to flush , thanks.
  18. Well , theres nothing much said on this forum about the type of people we are , so i thought id start a thread. I was just wondering all you people who have terriers and lurchers , do you also keep gundogs and vice versa because in my expirience , these are two different sort of people. Gundog people tend to shoot on driven shoots and deer stalk etc whereas dog men tend to hate that sort of stuff and stick to lamping and ferreting.there seems to be some type of snobbery between these people. Also is there anyone out there that does both or doesnt support any different type of shooting , do

  20. just thought id start a thread to see some kennels , kennels that hold more than one dog and has storage space would be best , just to get some ideas for myself cheers
  21. i recently started teaching my 1 and a half year old cocker stay , as i neglected this part of the training when it was a pup. It has been staying fine from up to a distance of 10 yards and i have only been doing it for a week and a half so far . The problem is i walk away and it sits and stays ,and i stand looking towards it showing the palm of my hand but after about 20 seconds it lies down instead of siting upright , how do i stop this ?!?!?! its realy annoying and i have been getting hold of it by the scruff and pulling it to sit position again but it doesnt seem to be curing the

  23. thanks a lot ! , what size of collie cross would i need to be an all rounder and is there any persific type of training i need to do ?
