I real terms its a mechanical rotating decoy machine that is portable and normaly runs on a 9V batt, it has 2 rods with a plastice or dead brid on and it rotates round from the main body. You can sometimes adjust the speed. Its called a magnet becoause it brings the birds in if set out correctly. I use it but be aware it can also make the birds shy away, depends on the day and light
