  2. On Sunday I was lucky enough to have been invited to a mates permission. We set of at 6.30 and arrived just before 8am. The first set we did was quite difficult but I got my quickset longnet christened there!

    110208_0323.jpg

    Wayne had a dig here.

    110208_0326.jpg

Then we moved on to a nice open set which had clearly just been ferreted by some others, we got a couple from here though. my young hob just played around the sets while we were here! Lol.

    110208_0329.jpg

Then we moved on to what I can only describe as 'Rabbit Mania'

We did this difficult area for an hour and got 22 rabbits! The action was fast and furious here and my young hob on his first ever trip out finally did me proud!

  4. A lonely widow, age 70, decided that it was time to get married again.

She put an ad in the local paper that read:

    HUSBAND WANTED:

MUST BE IN MY AGE GROUP (70's),

    MUST NOT BEAT ME,

MUST NOT RUN AROUND ON ME &

MUST STILL BE GOOD IN BED!!!!!

ALL APPLICANTS PLEASE APPLY IN PERSON.

On the second day, she heard the doorbell. Much to her dismay, she opened the door to see a grey-haired gentleman sitting in a wheelchair. He had no arms or legs.

The old woman said, 'You're not really asking me to consider you, are you? Just look at you...you have no legs!

The old man smiled, 'Therefore, I cannot run around on you!'

She snorted. 'You don't have any arms either!'

Again, the old man smiled, 'Therefore, I can never beat you!'

She raised an eyebrow and asked intently, 'Are you still good in bed???'

The old man leaned back, beamed a big smile and said,

    'Rang the doorbell didn't I?'

  5. 2 Tough Questions

    Question 1:

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who

were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had

syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before looking at the response for this one.

    Question 2:

It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts.

Here are the facts about the three candidates.. Who would you vote for?

    Candidate A.

Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologist.

He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

    Candidate B.

He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in

college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

    Candidate C

He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an

occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be our choice?

Decide first.. no peeking, then scroll down for the response.

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.

    Candidate B is Winston Churchill.

    Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

And, by the way, on your answer to the abortion question:

If you said YES, you just killed Beethoven. :icon_eek:

Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.

Never be afraid to try something new.

    Remember:

    Amateurs...built the ark.

    Professionals...built the Titanic

  6. The sheep thing is easy enough to cure with an e collar, and if the dog turns out to be a good worker, well its easy enough to collar up and keep on a lead until you get to the dig, or tie her to a spade. At least the lad is being honest which is a rare quality on these forums. Have a bump on me, hope you find a decent home for her :victory:

Good luck mate, I like the look of her!

  8. The fact that so many people wanted to see him beat speaks volumes IMO. He's a good talent, but as already stated, he was a victim of his own hype. I know it's the done thing with so called big name boxers, that they talk themselves up, but the guy had only beaten has beens, never has beens & journeymen, and he was talking up a potential fight with Ricky Hatton. Maybe a reality check will do him the world of good. Either it'll teach him some humility and not to believe his own bullshit, or he'll take it like his 'idol' Naz did when Barrera beat him, and he'll scuttle away under a rock somewhere.....

    :yes::yes::clapper::clapper:

    Very well said!!!

  9. My partners duughter is a STRICT vegitarian. I was cooking rabbit casserole today and she came in today and said 'MMMM that sells lovely!' I made a comment 'How can you be vegy and say that?' She said 'Just because I think it smells nice doesnt mean Im going to eat it!!' Now - she loves meat but WONT eat it! That to me is absolute dedication! She never calls me a murderer? She even helps me with my ferrets and plays with them for ages every day :icon_eek::yes: She just wont eat meat. Fair enough as far as I'm concerned  Her boyfriend is very keen to come ferreting with me though :drink::laugh:

Brilliant pics there! This was my terrier 2 days ago with my best working ferret!

    090408_0314.jpg

It was no easy feat mind! It took lots of time and effort to get them to this stage! Any time she showed ANY intersest in the ferrets I just tapped her and said 'NO'. I tied her up for a few ferreting trips and let her see that 'Ferret in = Rabbit out

    jules.jpg

And she soon got the jist!#This was one of my most memorable days ferreting!

    jules1.jpg

    jules7.jpg

Now she is trustworthy with my ferrets and is a good marker and dispatcher!

    090408_0316.jpg

    She's also good at digging!

  14. Hi Folks,

been running a stall today on a farmers market selling game up in Stokesley,as a favour to a mate.

Usual stuff on there, rabbit, venison, etc etc.

    Here are some of the questions we've had today;

    1. How do I cook these venison burgers? :whistling:

    2. Are these rabbits imported from China?

    3. What's in the venison mince??? :icon_eek:

All the usual ones - what does rabbit/venison/pigeon taste like?

Then to top it off, someone called us rabbit murderers :icon_eek:

WTF!!! Some people are really brain dead. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :censored: :censored: :censored:
