Plus 1 for red top fly bags, a couple of quid on eBay. This is 6 days of flys! Bag has now been up 9 days and is over half full. Does stink tho

ULV is a contact insecticide, unless applied directly to the cracks and crevices used by bedbugs using specific tools not a usual fogger, it will not be effective on bedbugs. It simply drives them deeper into harbourages and spreads them throughout a building. Most treatments fail due to the technique and application of products and improper survey. Not sure how a customer can cause a treatment to fail.
I’m not trying to teach you to suck eggs btw.

Never ever use ULV on bed bugs, they will scuttle out of the way deeper into cracks and crevices and all you do is spread them!
I would suggest you have a much bigger problem than first thought, bedbug treatment is basically taking a room apart! The main bed reason a bedbug treatment fails is a poor survey and treatment. Some can take a couple of treatments. Everything has to be checked and double checked. Cimetrol supa applied at the right dosage has never let me down. Use aerosols to flush them from hiding spots onto the cimetrol. Oil based products also work well. The rooms need to be occupied for the bedbugs to come out for a feed and walk over the products. No feeding they will sit tight until someone sleeps in there.
Ive done lots of hotels and domestic B.B. jobs and have complete eradication on completion.

I've dealt with those pesky hornets in the past.
I'd set up a pest repellent ASAP.

Found one of these "new" snakes in a rat box last week. Scared the bejesus out of me when I first opened the box! Was expecting a dead rat as it was heavy!! ??
Nice big female about 2ft when it slithered off!

You couldn't do it, right on the high street mid august, serious number of people could've been hurt. Better to wait no matter how busy you are.

Some better sized nests around now, mainly about the size of rugby balls now.

I got called out to a nest on a town high street at 5 pm as everyone was going home many years ago, needless to say I told them no way it's being done now I'll do it first thing in the morning! Did it at 4am so the risk was minimal to Joe public, good job I did as it exploded with wasps ?
Many folk would just have treated it?

Wasps are very good for gardeners as they eat a huge number of insects at this time of year. Did 9 nests today with biggest about the size of a honeydew melon.

I think rat attack,s account gives you part of the reason they are so aware of us, his sighting was twenty minutes ahead of the hounds and most sightings are fleeting so even if you have a camera by the time your brain digests what your eyes are telling it, it's gone again, trail camera,s are pretty new over here but there are a few reasonable shots appearing and as more people use them I think the evidence will grow same with thermal image,dash cams and drones
Good points, thanks for that!I can honestly assure you there are no big cats being released. There are incredibly strict recording procedures for ownership both by zoos and private individuals and these data bases are accessed centrally by any interested officials. There are fines etc for wrong recording or deliberate release and accidental escapes are very rare. Escapees which are not recaptured or shot are almost unheard of and there is a very real possibility of a zoo losing its licence if escapes occur or are not dealt with properly.
That scratches part of my equation. Is it possible that there could be illegal collections that circumvent the law? Over here a lot of states have strict rules on what can and can't be kept. A couple of years ago someone caught Pacu in a local pond! Different species, I know, but looking at what collectors will pay versus what inexperienced hobbyists have done to areas of environmental sensitivity, is not likely, possible, probable?
What would you hypothesize for the general lack of mainstream evidence overall?Personally I think more reports can be put down to several factors. Possibly more wild cats breeding. Possibly cats getting more used to humans. Probably more people using the countryside for leisure purposes. More reports leads to more wishful thinking too!
When I saw it mobile phones were still bricks and if they had a camera it was woeful!!
We saw it at about 100 yds for a few seconds so you wouldn't be able to get the phone out and camera on, even a new phones camera would struggle to get a decent pic at that range.

if you think about all the hounds that run the uk i'm sure they would of stumbled on one by now.
I thought i saw one once on christmas day back in 1995ish walking the dog with my parents it was a large black animal didnt move like a dog but was the size of a lab (estimate) but who knows.
Funnily enough I saw one along with 2 other guys when waiting with a terrierman for a hunt to come through near Cheltenham 11 years back. Scared the shit out of all of us, came through about 20 mins before the hounds and everything went quiet as it came through! Birds stopped chirping, rabbits shot in, it was weird! It went passed a 5 bar gate and the hounds took the same track so a size comparison was pretty obvious! All of us turned and said to each other DID YOU SEE THAT???? Never seen anything like it before or since but it was certainly a sandy puma type cat.

Charge as much as you feel comfortable with without ripping people off. Milk it but don't pull the tits off it!! Do a good job and you'll get the call everytime!

Best off to treat em early in the year or as soon as a swarm moves in if possible so the comb has the least amount of honey possible.

Not a bad price for the work involved.
I treated a huge bee colony the other day, must've been thousands in the air after the dust went in!! no way to get them out and a householder who is very allergic to bee stings. Only one option unfortunately.

R don't want the wasp nests, too busy cocking up other jobs in my experience of following them onto jobs!
High price makes it worthwhile doing if they get it.

Did 3 hornets and 3 wasp nests in 2 days last week!
One hornets nest starting in a welly boot on an outdoor drying stand and one in a bird box less than 10 yds away!!
Next job was a wasp nest with hornets nest using the same entry point!!

White ones of any species are rare as they are easily predated on, Therefore the "line" dies out quicker.

Those' types' who want to 'do it themselves' , annoy me,....i dont entertain them, & wont try & show them. (thats just me , though) Get some farmers, also, phoning for advice,...who do theyre own moles,....but they want to try & 'pick your brains', for any tips on dealing with some 'difficult' ones ?,.......or they want to know how to set & install, a new type of trap ! (they wouldnt give you a job, though !) ,....what do they think it is ? lolIt's not as simple as it looks, I pulled 20 miles off a horse paddock a couple of months back, really sandy hard trapping. The owner saw how I did it and said she's gonna do it herself now. I have her a brand new talpex to try and set and she couldn't set it never mind set it in the ground! She had a go with a few traps afterwards but soon called me back! Lol
I also did the trapping on pippa Middletons parents place before the big wedding there! Proper pressure to get it right there!!
Yep it irks me too, they usually have plenty cash and worry they are being ripped off! I will at times show them quickly how it's done, knowing full well they will struggle and call me after they've spent days or weeks trying to catch them! I do make sure they are given a go at setting a new talpex but not showing them how to go about finding tunnels and using probes too much tho!
They don't tend to worry too much about the cash after the run around they get from the moles lol

DR5 is all you need, all I've used for 10 yrs. only needs a golf ball or stones in the tank and a quick shake upside down to keep the powder agitated. Never really had a problem with ficam in it, the permethrin powders seemed to clog up more when I used them.
Done nests in dormer windows 2 floors up from ground level with no problem with clogging.

Almost every job I go to for wasps or hornets is at least 2 nests, 6 is the most in one house so far. 10-15 calls a day and no chance to do the routine stuff! Crazy numbers this year in the SW. lots of variation in nest stages of development too from huge medicine ball sizes to grapefruit sized ones. Did hornets in a shed which was just combs and no outer shell in place yet.
