    Are you saying bullet head came away from the casing and got stuck, which i assume missed fired and when you edjected the round the bullet head was left in the barrel or did the casing get stuck in the chamber ?

    Out of all the ATN units the Mars is one of the better units, I prefer the Dedal units myself like the D480 / D760 /D740 I do a fair amount of work on NV units and the Dedal are one of the easiest to work on, I'm sure you will not be disappointed with the ATN mars gen III but do try to view before you buy as the housing is one thing but the image interferer tubes which is the most important item, but do vary a lot, most good units come with a spec sheet but don't always believe what you read, if possible view the unit and take a good night vision unit with you so you can compare it to the on

    NV is far from a waist of time, i have been using NV for over 10 years and its come a long way, its all down to what rifle you want to put it on and how far you wish to see and shoot. Gen 1 + is good on air rifles to shoot out to 30 to 60 yards price is around £500 new, S/hand from £250 to £450 Gen 2 + as above and for rimmy and centerfire rifles, to shoot out to 50 yards to 200 yards if its a good unit, price from £1200 to £3000 S/hand from £500 to £1500 Gen 3 for all the above, you get a much better image but you pay the price from £2500 to £10,000 S/hand from £1200 to £5000
