    I just got a pup the sire is a pure whippet and the dam is a first collie X greyhound!

     

    According to the breeder the dam has picked up 2 hares out of 3 runs so if there quick enough for hares can't see them being to slow for rabbits.

     

    I hope there quick enpugh and nearly everyone Ive spoke to close to my area say their brilliant dog!

     

    But I have been told its alot to do with how much work you put in with your dog. :rofl:

    I cant wait! Shes 7 weeks old I was just curious on what kind of food I should give her and what quantities?

     

    I was also wondering what kind of training do I need to do in the first few months??

     

    Nice pup fella............give her as much grub as she wants as a pup.......my 8 week old demolished 2 1/2 pound of raw beef and some raw rabbit over the weekend :blink:

     

    Training??..........well this time I am going to do it differently, not gonna do a thing before 4 months and then only slow but sure.

    So in awnser, dont think you need to do much at the moment.......just get her responding to her name.

    I was thinking of giving her viatalin Dry puppy food with a bit of warm water to start her off then move on to their crown working buiscuits??

     

    do you reckon I should be giving her Meat?? :hmm:

    I'm picking my new pup up tonight she's a whippet collie greyhound!
