  1. I know its in Ibstock but was wondering who was judging lurchers and terriers?
  2. Having had terriers for many years who have been docked im now in the position ,as alot of people, where certificates are needed when selling pups with docked tails. Most vets have either docked the dogs tails too long or too short, and im after a vet that will take my advice on my required tail length, any of your advice or suggestions are very grateful, thanks
  3. i have a Lurcher bitch of 6 months old, whippet x deerhound x collie greyhound and i take her out in the field and let her canter along with the terriers for a short while then put her straight back on the lead,Why is it lots of people want to work them too early??i will only start to let my bitch work after 12 months and then by breaking her in slowly,i get angry at people expecting them to work too early and being disapointed when the outcome isn't what they expected.my bitch is still a pup and thats how shw is treated,im nurturing her for a year and i can already see that she is gonna be one
  4. hi everyone,,,i have an air rifle SMK XS78CO2,,does anyone have any tips on improving accuracy,,reason being is,,one day it can be really accurate and the next day it can be all over the place.anyone got any tuning tips to improve this cheap and cheerful gun,,hopefully someone will help me out
  5. seeing as im new on here could someone tell me what atb stands for?
  6. yep,,she got nettle stung the other day and yelped all night,,,,,trying not to start working her yet but her instinct is strong and shes not having any of it with me having to leash her ,,,dont want her knocking herself while shes young cause i know im going to have many years of fun out with her ,just got some white gill ferrets also so come next summer she will out with me lots,,roll on then
  7. well done,,,natural instinct bred into the dog,,great to see,,cant wait for my 15 week old pup to do that when shes older, great pic
  8. nah, theres nowt wrong with her sight,,when shes out on the field shes a different dog but when shes in the garden playing with my terriers the slightest knock and you'd think shes broken something by the way she whines, she comes across as a bit of a wimp,,maybe its an attention thing, lol Ahh thats good, sounds like a clumsy pup! Hounds are notorious for screaming the place down for the slightest thing. ha ha ,glad to know i aint one of those over anxious owners but i love my dogs and i just needed to know it aint nowt serious
  9. thanks so much for that advice,,,,,i do supervise the terriers when they are playing with the lurcher and i even bring the lurcher in cause shes so laid back,,i buy the best food for her, been giving her a mix of Chudleys complete and fresh rabbit that the terriers catch and also been adding a calcium supplement to her food ,,i cant stand all the tinned food on the market cause i was told that the meat content in them is very low and it goes through your dogs quicker so ive always stuck to decent food for them,,they also have alot of leftovers from the kitchen, hope that aint a bad thing??ive al
  10. cheers 4 that,,,,,glad to know that ur one is like that also,,,my Bracken has greyhound, deerhound, whippet, collie and bedlington in her so maybe thats why shes like she is,,when i see her battle of wills with the terriers its funny to see how much she cries at the slightest knock
  11. i do hope so,wanna take her the show and it might stop her winning a rosette,,,when do they finish teething?
  12. nah, theres nowt wrong with her sight,,when shes out on the field shes a different dog but when shes in the garden playing with my terriers the slightest knock and you'd think shes broken something by the way she whines, she comes across as a bit of a wimp,,maybe its an attention thing, lol
  13. i have a lurcher bitch of 15 weeks old and she is forever bumping herself, but ive found that even the smallest of knocks leaves her crying in pain for the rest of the day, strange cause ive never had a lurcher from a pup before, always got them about 1 year old.also her ear carriage was perfect when i got her and so is her parents, but 1 ear seems to be pointing in the air at the moment so im hoping it will fix itself soon as ive been the vets and got the all clear for any infections,,never thought a lurcher would be this much hard work,,,
  14. thanks for that skycat,,,will get her down the vets this morning,,,doesn't look like thers any infection but will take her to make sure, thanks again
