the vixen is still at large, but we have accounted for the dog fox. will go back tomorrow to see if pheasant has moved and then put in time in the evening and with nightvision

pritty sure its not a terrier on private shoot away from foot paths ect and no mess around hole

not many badgers about this area but wouldnt rule it out earth is a small one holer but well used

found a earth today on a neighbouring shoot and outside lay a dead cub had broken jaw and mark on neck inside the mouth of the hole lay another dead cub with crushed skull and marks on neck cubs had only been dead a day or two at most also lay a dead pheasant which also was fresh any idears as to what might have killed cubs. cubs are about 4 weeks old

no im talking about centre fire the mount at the bottom is weaver which goes onto the riflfe and the top part of the mount is dovetail to go onto the rail on nightvision will try to post pic

anyone used these collars much, i brought 1 as a multipurpose job for terriers / ferrets. but once again this new deben stuff has let me down today, as it turned its self off during a dig to my mute dog luckly i could complete the dig with the use of another dog and collar ( not my prefered way).anyone else had one turn off during a dig. bellman and flint here i come

i also made the mistake of buying a mk3, first time i used it the fox chewed the collar and it stopped working not good on a mute hard dog evetaly dug the dog on a mark we had before collar packed up but the dog took more stick than usaul because of this poor product.
