  1. Hi would be intrested in ferrets if you dont mind splitting sale, got the rest Thanks
  2. not sure myself got a harris mounted to the underside of my s200, and thats a thin stock - never had any problems, and thats been slung about and abused, so was suprised after looking at cz style and reading of them splitting. To be honest, got to go with your comments, there are hundereds of these in action, and only 2 proven splitting the odds on that aint bad.
  3. Thanks Deker The bipod reveiw is on; http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews108999.html but a friend has done the same, but knowing him he's prob's fallen on the rifle aswell. then used it as a level for hi hilift jack. A local Game keeper had also heard the same and recomended that i remove the front swivel, drill and then manufactor, a bolt / nut version of the swivel to relive the stress, coupled with a few large fibre washers to distrubut the stress(to be honest the local gunsmith has been ask to do this if i need it) So its the bare cz style an a few round, have just been offere
  4. Deker, Are you bipods atached on to front Sling mount or have you driled in a seperate bolt / Nut combo, closer to the trigger guard. got to admit it the cz style grabed my attention, but the rumored problems put me off, any advice on glass wear. Thanks agian
  5. thank for the info, of you aint guessed i'm not to good at this forum stuff, all a bit new. Well it looks like i havent, cursed enough today, lets hope it stays that way. Any more advise on above topic (.17hmr) Thanks Rich
  6. anyway whats the warn staus on the bottom of my profile about . . . . . . . .
  7. Thanks for reply and your honesty (yes my spelling is crap) I looked at the varmant as the wood stock and heavier barral due to roumours of the black composit stocks splitting when used with a bipod, and heat displacment on the larger barrel (TBH i have never use a small calibre rilfe only .223 and above, so its a bit of a learning curve) The Glass wear is what i've used before, and sort of used too, but again open to recomendations. As mentioned your advice will be accepted and listen too Sounds like i shoud grab the cz style and ammo leaving the mod, and get a Sak (my first o
  8. Hi all Sort of new to Small calibre Rifles and looking at purchasing a .17hmr. I have been offered a cz .17hmr Style (synthetic / nickle finish) with wildcat silencer and 400 round for £350ish (second hand), but also a CZ varmant .17hmr (Wood / Blued) for £350 sak moderator £40 (all new) cartrages, obiously extra, both are 16 inch barrels, and realy the finish is not that important as a good rifle. Both are plain of a scope so any recommendations on glass wear recived with gratitude, leaning towards a fix scope ie 8x56 (docter), but open to advice. My original ideas was a varmant
  9. Hi intrested in the hmr - PM sent - I think, not to good on these computer thing. Thanks Rich
  10. Hi all Hoping somone can help, managed to break my Ford Maverick (2.7td 1995 swb), looks like the heater matrix has gone. I've bypassed the outlet/inlet pipes above the thermostat, the ones going into the cab for the heater for now just so I can use it to get about in the snow. It seems to have stoped the water loss (Rad and header tank are holding water now) the temperature remains constant now, and the Mats in the cab have started to defrost, even tho the windows got ice on them as i aint got heat in there. Has any one change one before, where's the matrix - where under the das
  11. i used a flashing dustcap of our kids bike , it worked great but i bought a proper led light wich works fine when the bird is not sat on the ground Is that the purpsoe made tail mount LED's never tried one, wernt sure if they were any good. A mate whos an eletronic wizz kid (???) made me one and it was a bit of a waste o time as i could only make it out if the bird was 50yds or closer. So gave up on it - stil got it. Seen them advertise might get one if you say they good. i got mine off ebay and only paid £4 for it . i find it very good so at that price its worth getting one
  12. forgot to say the fishing ones got enough light that they throw the light up as well when the are sat on ground

  14. Hi fella's, First post. Been flying BOP for nealy 15 years now and most of that has been lamping with HH, RT or Gos. I moved away from reflective jesses and started using both electronic nightlights and the "snap and Go" type (made for night fishing) Found it easier to mount then on the feet / anklet as you cant see the light as well if the bird is returning to the fist (use a velcro type anklet) also diffrent coulors on each foot as you can see if the bird is coming or going. As for calling back I used to teach the bird to return by whistle to both fist, lure and also to a beam sho
