    Hawking/ shooting / fishing /ferretting/kayaking/ and recently keeping the bird numbers up around my mates farm!<br /><br /> at least six months of the year will be taken up with flying my Harris hawk, and that could be just me and the bird or me my terrier and hawk working togther other than that alot of the other things i do revolve around the bird eg....out shooting keeps the freezer topped up, topping up feeders means somthing for the hawk to chase/catch!<br />
  1. nice picture that M,seen my first jay Sunday @ the kelmarsh fare it was in a glass box at a taxidermist stand i tink a little bigger than the Maggie though regards davy First thing that came to my mind was jays!!!
  2. You should have no trouble finding bunnies up there! i know of a sumone that flys hawks that way!
  3. That wasnt the sort of reply i thought you would get! They do get on my wick though...i had a message written on my windscreen when we had that snow where i fly my hawk....didnt see anyone around tho and the tracks went into the woods id come out....That was at 7 one morning!

Hi, I have just joint joined this forum my name is Nick, I am 25,live in BATH and have always been involved in some way with hunting,Weather its been beating on a shoot,helping with pens and feeders or putting in cover crops etc. I was a farm worker for seven years and always been the outdoors type. I have done the same as most...starting with air guns and ferrets..i then got a jackrussell terrier cross and currently fly a female Harris hawk although she has just been put to moult for six months now. So justt a quick hello and hopefully speak to afew people along the way!
