  5. Well Bobba, I think it's people like you that are ruining this forum. Lets get this right; this isn't someone doing a favour for a neighbour, he is asking what the 'going rate' is to do a commercial job. I'm protective of my profession. I know that upsets some 'wannabies' but after over twenty years in the game, I'm fed up with people thinking that pest control is just easy money. To survive in this day and age you have to be not only trained, but also qualified. That takes lots of dedication and money, and to have people undercut you, or take the easy jobs from under your nose g
  6. You are everything i hate about this pest control forum. A Stuck up snob looking down your nose at people who you think are less informed than yourself or "non-professionals" as you like to call them , really in the grand scale of things he's not going to go out of his way to join some group so he can be coverd for the 5mins it will take to do this job, dispite what you think. Pest control is not a hard job, getting a squirrel out of some old womans loft or setting a few mole traps, try pest controling 60,000 acers of grouse moor, its a lot diffrent from your 9 - 5 (if that) ploding around a f

  8. im no pest controler but i would think it depends on the problem, if its one mole £30 is fair but if there are 6 going about I would think this woman would be a bit reluctant to hand over £180 dont you think?
  9. david cameron has released a statement saying "there should not be a "knee-jerk reaction" to changing the laws on gun ownership" I didn't vote for him but I respect this as we can be sure its would have been a very diffrent statement from the former government.
  10. thanks all, will give it ago Cheers, Tom
  11. hello, not long ago i was given a 10month old deerhound wheaten grayhound, he is a canny beast but i had him out with the hand lamp last nite and must have ran about 20+ rabbits and he only got one and then droped it. I got him some right easy runs on young rabbits clamped down, he had plenty of chance to grab them but it was like he was just playing with them. is this somthing he will grow out of or is there anything i can do to help? cheers, Tom

  14. I dont think this trap is that old, pole traps were made illegal long before the fenn trap design was around (1904 i think) they would have used a circular gin trap
  15. will they not just fly back if its 0.5m away?

  21. The course at thurso is full but they suggested i try borders college. Where in ayrshire are you from mate ? Andrew borders college is a better one anyway thurso if full of stalkers. I went to borders for a year and a half, droped out halfway through the second year as i got offered a full time grouse beatkeepers job, now thats 4 of us out of a class of 7 or 8 with jobs. borders is your best bet mate.
