I ran my first 3 heats on ground i'd never stepped foot on before and with judges that were completely neutral, and our heat on ground i'd been on before.......do you think i've found a way of fixing a nights lamping??? I just dont understand the comment you aint surprised i'm in the final again.....cos if its not on my dogs ability at catching rabbits, then surely i must be fixing it???? Also i aint trying to slate whins comp...... ......i hope he pulls it off, but with the benefit of hindsight, i think he'll find it a whole different ball game when he actually gets down to the nitty gritty

Whin i think you need to pick what thread you're gonna use for your field trial comp and stick to updating just the one!!!! So when we gonna find out all the relevant details, proper rules, entry fees, prizes and purse??? Obviously you're gonna explain it all in details on here, ie the scoring of it all in regards to the handling phases, how the hunting up aspect is to be scored and judged, how the ferreting aspect is to be scored and judged, cos you cant expect people to enter on the set of rules that are up so far can you??? But hey count me in though when you've got all that sorted, i'll lo

So is this a field trial, ie ferreting, lamping, hunting up? like others have asked, how's it judged, how's it scored, when's it on, who's land is it on, is there an age limit on entrants, what are the prizes how much is the purse, how much is the entry fee, when you taking entries..........and most importantly can i enter it???

You might wanna check markpricks land first mate, cos if i remember rightly at the start of the season when he was in the comp he could barely produce rabbits......lmao.......he made some lame arse excuses back then too, at least when our numbers are down, we've had bad weather,poor conditions, late in season, he couldn't catch a fecking cold at the start let alone enough game to run 8 dogs on..........

Bill doherty aint warren is he, i've met bill too and his dogs were more brindle as i remember when i sat in his house and he showed me pics of the old days coursing!!!! First and foremost i'll tell you this will be my only post on this thread!!!! This lamping comp is not a field trial, the forley or waterloo cup, it's not scored on turning, retrieves, numbers killed its meant to be a simple lamping competition, so all this talk of field trials, paying for land etc is shite.......... ........Now the numbers just dont hit the same when its being run alternate slips and you've got to wait for the other dog to retrieve and be put back on a slip before the other dog goes....... ........i'll give you an example if this, some of the heats last year had a circu
