  1. No bother at all. It was a very interesting day, I didn't realise you could use/eat so many different things!

Sounds about right. I used to work for them and I didn't enjoy it. If it = money, put it down was thier opinion, IMO. A few volunteers were very good to the animals though.
  5. Well I agree with you both. I think its a shame to have so few on the market these days. I do have a rat catcher, which is fun, but my Pro sport (although a different beast) is just so much more fun. PCP's IMO take away most of what is or was involved in shooting. Plus with a magazine you get used to having more than that one shot, which IMO means your less accurate. The one other thing that REALLY bugs me, is the loss of good old fashioned sights!! We don't all want a scope.
  6. I love spring rifles, but when looking at some the other day, I was indeed only looking at some! The last time I bought a rifle was 1997 and Pre-charged were quite common then, but surely some other shooters must be like me and love a good old fashioned springer? I currently own am Airarms Pro Sport, which is still doing the rounds I see.
  7. I went on a Wild Food course last year with Greenman Bushcraft. Our instructor had a wealth of knowledge about all kinds of plants, trees, fungi and wild meats, he even showed me and the rest of the people there how to make all manner of things from natural produce. I just though you guys may be interested to see his personal website. Its called Natures secret larder and the address is www.naturessecretlarder.co.uk It has quite a few bits and bobs on it. I found the nettle beer making section most helpful to make a potent brew, which went to my head quicker than a bottle of whisky!!!!
  8. Hi, I am thinking about getting a shotgun certificate for rough shooting. I used to shoot clays a long time ago, but never owned a gun. May I ask what sort of questions you get from the police and what sort of safety measures I will need in place? For example as well as a cabinet, do you have to have double glazzing, etc? I ask as I am planning on moving soon and the house im looking at is very old, and only has those old, but good qulaity windows and doors. Thanks M
  9. Hello, I'm Mark. Live in the UK and am starting to get interested in shooting again. Look forward to chatting Mark
