  1. yeh i thought that croppin the ears would have removed any protection to the inner ear, but if so then why breed a working dog with such small ears? ( if it was intended to do so) and it must of taken a fair bit of breeding to produce a dog with such small ears
  2. yeh maybe but they do look a bit too short, ive never seen any bull with ears that short and shorly crossin a bull with shortish ears with whatever its been crossed with aint gona produce a pup with ears like that.

  4. i dont know mate, for some reason i thought it might have been to stop their ears gettin damaged when hittin into the bushes or maybe even to keep the tops of the ears flopping over and blocking their hearing, i aint got a clue, i'll av a look on ere for the pic i see, im pretty sure the pic was from england too.
  5. ive seen a few pics of bull x's with their ears cropped, no doubt the the dogs ive seen do look good but is there a specific need for it? or is it just for the look lol i know the tail docking is illegal, is it still the case with ears??
  6. you can train any dog not to yap mate but uve got a point, my jrt x whippet is very excitable when out with over dogs n the ferrets but calms down after a while but the whippet i crossed her with is spot on n very calm and patient so the pups bein 1/4 terrier n 3/4 whippet should be a lot calmer. before breeding i did consider buyin a beddy whippet due to their size and my lack of space for a 'well bred lurcher' but instead i decided to see if i could get a pup or two from my bitch as hopefully they'll be a good size for what i need. i know a lot of the travellers round my way cross whi

  16. i was in the loca co op about a week ago and over heard a young girl talkin to a friend about a dog shed picked up a month ago, she was sayin that it doesnt stop pissin n barking no matter how much she smacks it about, so iasked her what breed it was and if shed consider giving it to me as she was having no luck with it, im no dog trainer but i no for a fact that smacking a dog about all day long aint gona solve any problems! anyway shes taken back to a little flat n shes opened up the door, the smell was unreal and this little bag of bones with no fur left on her tail was all huddled up in th
  17. I have a 1 year old american bull dog, hes a good guard dog. he house trained and fairly good with kids, he just a bit unaware of how big he is. I'd love to keep him but i recently moved to a smaller place and despite a month of trying its just not big enough for him. If anyones interested i'll travel anywhere in essex to hand him over as long as i can see hes going to a good home with a garden or yard. my number is 07905 427437 Alex
  18. I have an umarex air magnum 850 with nickel barrel and bsa scope, about 200 pellets through it and a rat catcher (un modified still in box). if anyones interested i would swap them both for a good springer or a bushing dog (pup or rehome)

  21. i bought this van to move to a new place and ive used it for work for about 2 months, new belts, no tax, MOT due in 3 months. the usual rusty arches (not as bad as ive seen on other transit of the same year) dent in drivers side door (would pull out but cant be arsed!) I paid over the odds for it, £1,200 as the mileage is quite high, 180,000 but saying that the engine is very clean and just keeps on going. no smoke at all. BASILDON, ESSEX £700 07905 427437
  22. i havent used this forum much, i didnt realise there is peddlars on here or people that get rid of the dog straight away for no reason other than there own profit. which is one of the main reasons i didnt put him on other sites like gumtree. i'll contact the HABC (hopwood american bulldog club) and rehome him that way. thanks for the helpful feedback
  23. i dont really care mate, as i said as long as he goes to a GOOD home. He wont go to anyone i dont feel he should go to. if i get money then it will goto my mate 100% but that doesnt really dont concern you, i just want a good home for a good dog, profit or not, im no peddler and i consider myself to be a good dog owner with 20 years of experience with the breed.
  24. I have a 1 year old American bulldog, I've had him for just over a week, I was given him by a friend who moved to Australia. Hes a lovely dog, good with children and a bit clumsy. He is a very good guard which is the reason I had him but Iam moving to a smaller house in about 2 weeks time and just wont have the space for such a large dog. He is quite boystrus and loves a bit of ruff n tumble. I would like to maybe swap him for another smaller dog or Im open to offers as long im sure he goes to a GOOD home. Im in Wickford, Essex.
