so if i take my russell pup out bushing for rabbits theres a good chance of encountering the other fella ???? do you all put collars on even when bushing ??

where i walk my russell pup there are swallows.when he clocks them he just goes on one . search and destroy ,totally deaf and obilvious to all around him. will he grow out of it when he realises he cant catch them ??????

i'm new to the site , do terriers get stuck down rabbit holes and have to be dug out ?? or are they just too big to get down in the first place ??? i know depends on size off dog and hole etc but ........??

ta for the help guys. question might sound stupid but if i dont ask i'm not gonna know . i just wanna do a bit of hunting with the dog.i'm gonna start on rats but i'm concerned that when i take him for a walk he'll take off after rabbits or go down a fox hole. hence locator question .dont know any experienced people round here. i'm in australia !!!!

i'm justing starting out with a jack. this may sound stupid to but on pics i've seen of dogs working some have collars on others not . whats the score ?i'm thinking if hes goes underground with one on he could snag himself . true ?
