Hi Before you spend you money on custom plugs..try Shooter's Aid plugs. I bought some recently and love em! I have used ear muffs since I started shooting, but you can't hear conversation properly and they move about. Having seen these, I bought some and will not be using muffs again! I have the Luxano. Have put around 500 carts through it since new, all Hull Comp X 28g Fibre 7.5 for clays. These are only 65mm in length, but I have only had about 5 jams on the 2nd shot, so around 1%. Not sure if this is because the gun is new or the cartridge is short ? I was reccommended the Hull Comp X by the dealer I bought the gun from, and I like the price (£3.60 a box if you buy 500) and they are low recoil and clean. I was in my local dealer today, and he recommended Eley Blues, which are 70mm cases, but £4.25 a box. I would prefer to use a cartrgide that does'nt Jam at

Well..tried the oil.. just one coat.. and it worked well! No gloss or shine, but it enhanced the finish which is exactly what it says on the tin! I will apply once or twice a year to maintain the finish Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the feedback...Are you doing a new stock from scratch, or using the oil on an existing finish? I might give a go! Will see if anyone comes back to me on the wax..as that may do the trick as well! Cheers!

Hi All ! I have just joined the site, and was hoping for some advice.... I have just bought an new Hatsan Escort Luxano 12G with an oil finished stock. I like the appearence, which is a nice matt dark brown finish, but I want to know the best way of cleaning / maintaining the wood? The dealer advised that I use CCL Gunstock Conditioning Oil .. but Im not sure if this will cause the stock to go shiny after reading the instructions..It say's it only needs to be applied twice a year, but can be used on new stocks to improve the finish. I also have some CCL fine wax polish that I used befor
