  1. Claybusters al. Why do you say throw rhe escort inthe bin? I know some people who have had one for years without fault!!
  2. Just had my first taste of wildfowling on Sat 31st Jan, I know it was the last day inland but got an invite from a nephew. Anyway to cut a long story short, we had four Grey Lags and three pheasant. If i have had longer cartridges to put through the hatsan Sa then we might have had a few more geese. I really enjoyed my first taste of Wildfowling. So, I am now planning some work with my nephew and his mate to get some new hides built for the next season. We only shoot on a small area but it has three ponds and quite a bit of woodland, right next door to a local pheasant shoot. So I am loo
  3. If some one at the pub you supply is ill, and it is traced back to your rabbit, then you are in deep S H 1 T if you have no certificates etc. So, beware before you supply. As mentioned earlier on this site its all thank to the EU. The sooner we are out of it the better. Rob.
  4. I was out after geese and ducks last night. Thought I try the new Hatsan SA, At first all was well using Eley VIP cartridges. Later on I switched to Express and the gun jammed every time I tried to get a second shot off. We ended up with four geese and three pheasants. If the gun had not jammed it might have been ten geese. On inspecting the gun and cartridges after shooting I noticed the Express were shorter and would not eject either when emptying the gun. Has anyone else had problems with short cartridges in a Hatsan. Mine is the PS magnum. Cheers Rob
  5. I recently applied for a vriation to my FAc to allow me to buy a semi auto rimfire. Whilst my ticket was awai I phoned west yorkshire police and asked if they could add a shotgun to my ticket. A few days later I received a call from the police asking why I wanted a shotgun, to which I replied to shoot vermin etc. I was told I had this permission with my rimfire. But, said I, its very difficult to shoot crows and pigeons with a bullet whilst they are flying. This was agreed by the person phoning and thety said okay. Anyway to cut a long story short I now have a place for a section one shotgun
  6. I know its early, but. Can anyone suggest a place I could take my son this summer to do some spinning for Mackeral on the Yorkshire Coast. The last sea fishing i did was from the boats at Whitby. But now my son says he would like to have a go at spinning for Mackeral. Thanks in advance Rob
