all right stig .. only the the knoledge of many bedtime storys of my impecable library of jack books. witch had just had to learn an read up on .since having thr little feckers in our family since the early sixtys. although im only from the seventies... x x

as you say the fox terrier was to play a vital role in the desighn of the jack as i belive they are a far older breed of dog .an you can still see obviouse sighns of them into todays russells .it is stated that russell didnt care for the looks of the dog as long as it worked to its job in hand. and he let his best dogs live in by the fire and sleep on his bed .later refrences have found this to be untrue although no one can take away his knoledge of yhe hunting world an the breeding of dogs of witch he claims he would never sell a dog. other claim he would have no complaints about breeding dog

terriers have been about for millenium but its belived revrend russell bought a terrier from a milkman in the street witch was called trump.. a prodomantly white bodied terrier witch was undoutedly crossed with whatever stock he had at the time .in doing so he starded to create a strain of terrier kown as hunt terriers witch he used for his love of fox hunting these terriers prodamantly white bodied was to become known as jack russels . witch really are a mixed bunch of mogrels it wasnt untill later when they started to breed to standard an the kennel club breeders got involved that they becam

why in this country do dogs with no nuts dont get a look in at shows even though they might be a real good worker an looker. when judges cant tell when bitches have been sayed. an still get put up. in america this is not judged apon as it dont take away working ablity or looks.......

i think the only thing you can do is make it as hard for them as you can at whatever expense if the dogs mean that much witch i no they do then you have to give it back to them in money well spent.. look at your garden an think like a thief. how would i get to that kennel .if i did how would i get the dogs out . etc . an just make it as hard for them as you can. panel fencing put in a second skin barb wire razor wire cameras lights alarms.. dont shy on cheap pad locks an chain by the best..all extreme mesures. but were living in extreme times with extreme thieves

you must be mad . how as the feller got your dogs an dont no were you live. needs to borrow a car etc. do you no were your dogs are . ifso get a few people together men an women go round and tell him in no unserton terms your thier for your dogs . if not call the police say he has stolen them and they are registerd in your name. dont delay get on it before he moves them an deniys all knoledge....good luck....

cheers pal. yea they sound similar natured . just have to be on our toes when other dogs are about...hopefully find some earthwork for next winter as id love to see him in a real working setup. with boys to help me out aswell ..im gonna pursue the boys a bit harder at this summers shows....hard as it is....

its not the lack of energy this dog gets walked min of 5 mile a day .and plays all day in the garden with two jack...

i think thats how this dog would be .untill given the right chance i cant say but ireally dont think hed be a quiter just the nature of him an his desire to hunt is emense. but listning to you just shows the thery of regular work dont calm all of em down... i think in a hunting situation he wouldnt worry what other dogs are doing and enjoy himself.. i hope before long ill get the chance to try propaly with noleged men...
