  10. Get a Malinois x greyhound if you can get one. If you was going to use a guard breed this is it, more agile, smaller[65lb] better Hips, and very Game. Thats what i would use. mad-mouse
  11. It will be everything but the kitchen sink mate defo not a collie greyhound, But i am not saying a bitza is a bad thing, I have two Bitzas myself. Tumblers are bollocks( jeff will tell you otherwise) Smithfield aint been seen for hundreds of years. Basically what you get is what you see I suspect a rough coated lurcher, dont believe the hype and the adverts. Now if you want it for work ask about working traits and if there are pics, videos of the dog working or maybe if you can go and see the dogs in action out in the fiel.....?   12. The Right Greyhound and the right Deerhound, can be one Hell of a tough dog. Combine the two and you have a great working dog. MAD-MOUSE
  13. Ive read american staghounds can kill 45lb coyote [one] dog if they have to, they catch hares ,deer, rabbits. To me that sounds like a great alround breed of dog. mad-mouse

  16. Its a tough old life for a lurcher, but thats why we love them because they are tough. mad-mouse
  17. The dog is still young, it will get there in the end. My best lamping dog was rubbish at first, after about 12 nights then it clicked and he never missed much after that. mad-mouse
  18. They would have to be tough dogs living out there, i read that alot of dogs are lost to snake bites and some times to lions that hunt at night.
  19. Maybe a colliexgreyx bullxgrey, a dog say 25ins 55lb should catch most stuff. mad-mouse
