  1. My parents own a small farm which has a few resident pheasants on, I keep on getting asked for pheasant but don't want to kill the few we have, is it possible to breed a few and release them without them flying off never to be seen again or being eaten bully foxes or something. Can this also be done with quail and partridge?
  2. I have a smk model QB78 double charged co2 powered rifle .22.The rifle has a 4x40 scope it is a single shot bolt action hunting set up. this is only 2 months old and had 1/2 a tin of pellets through it and so is in very good condition £90

  7. i have a border collie (well my mum has and i offer to take him out for walks ) he is very keen, maybe just a little bit too keen, we i take him out ferreting im workin 1 end of the hedge and he is at the other bolting rabbits but never sees them come out as he has he head stuck down another hole. and sugestions? i took him out lamping tonight aswell same again he was running round like a mad dog, just not were i had the lamp. he knows that he has to catch the rabbits but need to find a way of getting him to work with me and not just go off doing his own thing.
  8. ive been using it since i had my first ferret over fifteen years ago and mine have never came to any harm.even the pre packed stuff bought from pet shops still contains dust.just leave youre ferrets out of their cages for a while after cleaning and adding new sawdust.this gives everything a chance to settle and the dust to clear thank god for that iv been using news paper and it's useless
  9. i thought that the dust from the sawdust was bad for the ferret and that you shouldnt use it?
  10. i could meet you in weston as i work in highbridge if that helps?
  11. its the kids own fault for being on someone elses land. poaching is theft simple!
  12. iv been ferreting for a year. but my family have been farmers for a lot longer than youve been ferreting and im sure that even if getting rid of rabbits help the farmers they would still tell you where to go with a attitude like that. im not saying that i buy them a new car every time i go down, just pop in and say hello offer him a few rabbits (he never has them but i offer every time i go there) and help him old times like if he needs a hand rounding up the sheep that got away or he wants to borrow something , that sort of thing
  13. you must be the olny person that has a ferret where you live as we often get calls asking for permission to go ferreting. The other farms i ferret i am thankful for the chance to go ferreting on and as i am friendly with them and dont go there strolling round thinking that i am doing him a favor climing through his hedges and digging holes when the ferrets lay up. i cant say that i know of a farmer that doesnt hunt himself so he is sharing his rabbits with me
  14. they are doing you a favour, letting you rather than the other 10 people waiting to ferret that feild ferret them. you think that a farmer really want some non experts walking around his feild of crops. I am always thankful for permissions.
  15. i have a albino hob and a sandy grey jill for sale i found 5 ferrets too much to handle so sticking to just 3. £10 each in bridgwater
