hope before this challenge ! these dogs are stock broke. They chase a plastic bag they chase anything ( so they say). they should be good enough to get through a six bar gate .If its the sheep gate with the tighter bars ,, their dog has to jump it .. well if they are working dogs that should not be a problem day or night ...

i agree with dan on his big stand !!! every hunting man in the whole of ireland , has come home tonight after the weekend hunting . talking about what their dogs did or didn,t do , not a one would be thinking about how they would compete against the racing dogs in the game fairs , it was like that many years ago racing wasn't a big thing .. cause it all turned sour in the 90st . . how the whippet club came in and made their stand to rule and made rules . then all we have kc reg whippets .working whippet and lurchers men will get pissed off and not support . then the charity lose it ..

Apart from the debate about the showing , could any one put light on the subject of the racing ? A young lad won the whippet racing with a whippet called (Lady). when it came to giving out the prizes, he was told there was nothing for the winner of the whippet race there was a shortest of trophies ????? .He left with a small bag of pedro !!! while the over 23 and the unders got trophy,plaque, rossette and a big bag of food .. could anyone answer why this happened ?
