    Cobra,

Happy New Year to you also mate :)

The question of what pellet to use for your rifle can only be answered by you, really?

It is just a case of you experimenting with a few sample packs of pellets, and finding out as a result what pellet your particular rifle performs best with. Now, having said that of course, you will find out that although many people own an AA S410, not all of those owners will be able to use the same brand of pellet in those S410's.

This is because although most S410's have the same size barrel, they may not ( A ) all have the same make of barrel, and ( B ) some barrel makes may be more 'pellet fussy' than others - if that makes sense so far?

Take my air rifle for instance - an AA S310, in .177 calibre, running at just below legal limit, and which has a barrel made by Walther.

Over a period of time, i have found that my rifle will happily chug along on only four pellet types -

    - RWS SuperDomes

    - RWS Hollow points

    - Eley wasps

    - Crosman PowaPells, semi pointed (or bullet tip, if you prefer).

All other pellet makes tend to give my air rifle severe indigestion - pellets stick in the barrel, accuracy suffers on those pellets that make it out of the barrel, and the power of the shot is all over the place - not very good at all when all you want is accuracy and shot consistency.

Like i say, try and get yourself a few pellet sample packs and just sit there experimenting, and you will soon arrive at a set of results which will tell you what pellet is best for YOUR rifle.

    Regards,

    Grim.

cheers grim reaper it really opens ur eyes when u listen some of u guys that are realy into air guns in this way thanks agian

  3. hello ive got a lovely air arms s410 its in walnut/thumbhole,ags mini swat scope,2 mags, silencer and a wheel,300ltr bottle all in fantastic condition the gun alone was £700.

    bump

    £525

    btt postage extra

not being funny or any thing but if you payed 700 just for the gun you got riped there only 550 in the local gun shop & if you shop about you could get one about 500 or did you mean with the extras.

if you read disco dave s add it said walnut thumbhole whitch is an extra 150 onto the price of the gun so if he payed 550 he ll no be far wrong

  4. hi all ive had dogs for about ten year now and saw a good few injurys but my bitch has broken her tail its about half way up and its a clean break ive had dogs take the tips off and that but the bottom half is just flapping i was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice .

hi craig had the same injury about 8 years ago the vet tryed to save it but had to get half the tail of after 4 or 5 weeks it did nt make any diffrence to the dog he was fine and worked for years but he did say alot depends on the dog some will cope better than others good luck buddy

  5. my mate has no computer access and has a litter of pure, papered working deerhounds, now theres 3 left for sale.Last Friday the mother of the pups took a fox in fine style and yesterday she took a hare at a long run up to it.The parents are owned by him and originate from Doxhope breeding.I have seen these dogs in action(not the pups obviously)and both parents are 100%the real deal. They will take anything classed as quarry, they have no reverse gears and are real working deerhounds,no show blood in the last 7 generations. The pups were produced for his own use,hes keeping 1 his 2 mates are keeping one each.he is located in co.cork and has a price of 500 euros on them which is very little for such well bred pups.he instructed me to put up his mobile phone no.so if your interested in quality rare deerhounds ring 00353863522241 from britain/n.ireland or 0863522241.

both parents are stamina packed and have taken some head of game over the years.the sire is almost 9 years old which is why he was bred from,to keep the lines going, the dam is 4 years old and is a great hare bitch on the hill or flat ground, and not from the seat either.shes always given a long run up from slips.i will be out for hares over xmass with the bitch and will hopefully have pics up of her in action.Anyway if yer into this type of dog give him a ring, hes a very pleasant bloke and helpfull as hell.YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED I GUARANTEE YOU.

are there any pics of the pups and are they dogs or bitches the sire is a stuning animal
  6. Had air weapon's of various calibre's for a lot of year's now and for me without a doubt .177 is the better calibre..folk say .22 has more stopping power and hit's harder but what's the point in that with a legal limmit .22 when a legal limmit .177 can do exactly the same if you hit them where you are supposed to..and that is in the nut..and you have more chance of head shot's at a greater distance with the .177..

Just my experienced opinion.. ;) ..

    Cheer's

    Millet

cheers millet thanks for ur reply from so far away u take care over there cheers i think after all the thoughts and time it will be the 177 and thanks to every thats replyed

  7. well for me it wouldn't be caliber, it would be the choice of gun as both calibers do the same thing in the field in different situations in my opinion, but .22 has a little more stopping power if you want to get down to being that fussy, but I take the shot if it's on and I'm sure of a kill shot no matter what rifle I have.

Whenever I bought a rifle years ago it had to be .22, these days with the technology available? "Horses for Courses" and all that :drink:

cheers mad al already own a gunpower stelth for the last 3 years its a 22 never owned a 177 so i think its about time i gave it a go cheers

  8. sorry about the same old question boys but i am goining to buy one or the other i will be after fur and feather any one with the air arms s 410 what do you think

    177

    ???? For hunting ?

Most people will say .22 for hunting , was`nt there a poll on it a couple of weks back ? or was it what rifle you own , and the majority was AirArms and something stupid like 80% were .22

    cheers buddy
