  2. Hi got my as new zastava cz 99 precision bolt action .22lr also known as remington model 5 for sale, in excellent condition has a nice walnut stock and shoots spot on at 65 yards, comes with a brand new ags swat 16x56 with sidewheel , sunshade and flip ups also mounts is spot on for rangefinding and a wildcat cub silencer not shown in picture also a 10 shot mag and a 5 shot, may also throw in some ammo. I have only shot around 200 rounds with this but am putting in for a variation now so needs must. Will have to be ftf and will sell for £350. SCOPE NOW SOLD SO GUN NOW £250
  3. Just had the quote come back wich was £120 he said that if the gun was just shortend and re-crowned then it dosnt have to be proofed but as its been srewcut aswell it has to be re-proofed . Well anyway lads thanks for your help and comments but i think im going to leave it now and put in for a variation instead and look for something else so will be up for sale soon !
  4. No offence Mike, but stop f****n about. Why pay that money for a "maybe" better balanced gun, but one which will be less stable. If you insist on doing this, £35 quid without proof, is more than enough to pay No offence taken but why am i f****n about ? i am just asking for advice and to be honest im not going to pay over the odds i would rather keep it as it is than pay half of what the guns worth ! im waiting for another person to ring me back with a price tommorow and see what there damage is !
  5. Thaey both told me the price would be £70 to have it cut and re-crowned and screwcut and the rest to have it re-proofed and they wouldnt do it otherwise i told them that id be keeping it but they said they have to do it by law !
  6. Just got off the phone to a couple of gunsmiths both are saying it will cost me £150 to get it chopped and that they have to send it away to be proofed thats why the price is high otherwise it would be cheaper does that sound right to you guys ?
  7. ok guys thanks for your replys im gonna ring a few smiths today andget some prices cheers.
  8. Ok cool i think im going to have it chopped down now , is it easy to do it yourself or would i be better off taking it to a gun smith ? also do i need to have it proofed again ? i also have a new wildcat cub silencer but want a silver sak if anyone wants a swap ?
  9. Would i lose any accuracy by taking it down to 16" or would there be no change ?
  10. If you dont want to buy it i will regret the day i got rid of mine excellent guns !
  11. Ok im ready ! Its just a thought as to be honest i prefer carbine barrels to a normal length one and with the silencer on it just looks to long and i dont like it ! Also i read somewhere that you will get a better velocity using subs if the barrel is shorter i dont know if this is true thats why im asking for advise !
  12. Hi guys after abit of advise my barrel on my .22lr is 21" without the silencer so is quite long im thinking of shortening what would be the best length to have it cut down to and recrowned ? i was also wondering how much length of the barrel does it take for a subsonic to burn out and would it lose any accuracy ?
  13. Lovely looking dog that i had one that looked similar to him stolen last year . Good luck finding him a new home.
  14. Would also do a swap for a silver mtc scope or consider a swap for any silver scope.
  15. also forgot to say its milldot and the best side focus ive seen as it actually works would be perfect for a rimfire or centerfire rilfe.
  16. good advice that, i use winchester. I bet Eley's will shoot more consistantly ??????????????????? Who knows different rifles like different ammo ! i use eleys in mine but have a mate with the same rifle who likes using cci in his !
  17. Keeping scope now so gun and silencer left for £350 posted.
