  1. Is he still going/alive ? What a miserable sod he was !! He used to go out spraying his fields with wheat at night to keep the geese coming in. Is that common practice with the guides around there ?

  10. Where is the best place to get a Harris ? There seems to be a lot of models when I've looked on their website. Do I need to buy any fittings/adaptors so it will fit on my rifle ? Cheers
  11. stick with a 3 shot there is absolutely no need for a 5 shot for shooting ducks on a pond, it would jut be slaughter rather than sport! Stick to a 3 shot - a Winchester Super X3 is a really good 3 shot auto that dosn't break the bank (cira. £700 new). You will be lucky to find one second hand cheap as they are holding their money well.
  12. Hi I am relatively new to deerstalking and a few questions - if you can help ? I have just had a T8 fitted to my rifle - is a neoprene cover the 'norm' or do you recommend getting one ? Is a scope cover a bit of a gimmick ? Or does the need for one increase with the value of your scope ? I am also after some bipods (Harris) - there seems to be a few models out there - which are best. For me lightness and the ability to swivel is most important. Where is the best place to buy ? Many Thanks
  13. Hi - just thought I'd introduce myself. My main interests are wildfowling, deerstalking and game shooting - or any kind of live quarry shooting. I am a memeber on the Humber (South Bank), JMCP and occassionally shoot the Ythan. I go deer stalking mainly in Norfolk - Thetford area. I am relatively new to deer stalking but have managed 2 x Roe bucks and 1 x Muntjac buck in my short career. I have been using a shotgun since the age of 10 years. Just got my first auto last year which I'm well please with Winchester SX3. Cheers James
