  2. lOVELY......... Think i might go for a trip to aldi or that other cheap one (lidl or summet like that) tomorrow to see what i can pick up. 3. Hi guys.... Ive been thinking of buying big bags of mince from the supermarket to feed the ferrets on as it seem quite cheap and easy to handle. This will only be used when the rare bits run low, But if necessary is it ok to feed them 3/4 times a week on it. I buy 20kg bags of wellbeloved and have loads of it but keeping them on that all the time is no good for them is it? So what do you think? Thanks. Any help is appreciated!
  4. What do you mean stubby, There aint anything like that in my text . Sorry pal want happen again.
  5. Whats with all this negativity. I think they look really good quality nets and the price sounds good to. F**k These who are talking sh*t mate they are obviously pissed because they carnt make a decent net like you. I think you are doing a great job and all you doing is helping others by providing a important bit of kit and all they can do is mock! Good luck selling them mate and when i need some you will be the first to no. Bigphil
  6. Im after breaking my staffy to my ferrets. Although he aint no lurcher i love taking him out ferreting with me but i always keep him on a lead. We was out the other day and what i do is i stick him to the side a he stays but he crys like mad he wants abit of the ation lol. Hes pretty quick too, A rabit bolted from a hole with no net, put it this way when i shouted for him to get it he turned it twice before it made its way back down a different warren (lucky bugger). So we went to the warren that it went down, we didnt net up because we thought that it would'ent bolt with it being chased 15 mi
  7. Hello guys.. Is there anybody who does abit of ferreting in manchester anywhere? Ive got 4 jills and nets and wouldnt mind somebody showing me the ropes as ive only just started really. Well my mate has took me out a few times who has been hunting for a while (with dogs most of the time) but can do things which i think aint right like he will walked past a warren with fresh do dar out side and say NO NOT THAT ONE WE TRY THIS ONE OVER HERE, OR NAR NOT THAT ONE I ALWAYS HAVE TO DIG IT (like every ferret will kill to ground in that same warren) OR TO BIG THAT ECT, So wouldnt mind a PRO showin

  12. Good news.... I did try them that day when i said but still it got very violent very quickly so broke them up and seperated again. But went out ferreting the other day with just 2 of my jills 1 being the attacker (SAVAGE), was out all day got back savage was well nackered so thought this was a good opportunity to stick them together so i did, They seem to be ok to start with savage being so F**ked and couldnt be arsed so i left them over night, went back in in the morn there were sleeping together cuddle up in the nest box no problems. This was about 4/5 days ago now and they are s

  15. Ive had 14 with 1 jill in a day. Only started ferreting about 1 month ago for the first time and my jill was very young at the time.
  16. This is to funny. a recent survey carried out by Hall’s Haggis revealed that Americans often put haggis hunting on their must-do list when visiting Scotland. Perhaps such myths surround the haggis because nobody has ever been able to verify the specific origins of this strange species. Some compare it to a Greek or Roman sausage-like dish; others credit French cuisine and the Auld Alliance as the word haggis could have come from the French verb ‘hacher’ – to chop or mangle, although they now honour its Scottish connections by calling it ‘Puding de St Andre’. Heaven forbid,
  17. Im in Northern Ireland, I can just imagine 6 of you checking in with easyjet, ferrets boxes on the weight belt, dressd in cammo with lurchers Already booked a ticket

  21. They are all this years and they aint related (mother and daughter, sisters etc they are all from different kits). Thanks for the advice guys, im going to leave them to it but ill be there just incase it gets abit out of hand. I will let you's know later on to see how they got on... Fingers crossed
  22. If your not comfortable with the situation & think its more than just setling in problems i would move Lilly out, she is obviously not happy & bare in mind the other ferrets are effectivly strangers as they were missing for months, so smell differently etc, are they letting of there scent glands when they fight as well It was just lilly that went missing and the others have been together from the start. i think iam going to get them all out in the morn and let them have a run round together which i do anyway but this time iam just going to leave them for about 30mins then go
  23. To be honest i think personally it is abit nasty. They make weird horrible noises and stuff. And when ive picked 1 up it still had the other in its mouth dangling from its ear... So should i just leave them at it for a bit and see what happens???
  24. Right i started out with 2 jills, they both got out, a few days later i get 1 back by this time id already baught 2 more anyway cut a long story short, the other missing ferret appears after being out for 2 MONTHS. So that makes 4. Well the 1 that was out for 2 months (LILLY) is obviously abit of a git biting, hissing and what not at me. What iam getting to is LILLY is not getting on with the other ferrets she keeps going to bite them they bite her back (PLAYING) but them it turns abit nasty because LILLY keeps going back for more, The thing is tho LILLY isnt even hard and what i mean by thats
