hi i new to lurchers as i have owned terriers for the past few years but im looking at getting a 1/2 GREY 1/4 collie 1/8 deerhound 1/8 whippet. parents are 24" and 25" so i wondering what would this cross of been like preban. would they have took roe and fox.
any advice would be helpfull and i would be greatfull thanks

Well decided to have a walk out this morning with my plummer bitch and few of mates dogs at around 8:15. We walked down a railway banking where there were a few nice spots for the odd fox. The terriers were working the cover and about 8:45 a big dog fox jumped out the cover a made his way down the tracks until he was out of sight, anyway two of the terriers shortly followed but no sign of my bitch. After fighting our way through the thick bracken we found a tight hole and could hear here baying away. To cut a long story short we got a mark on the locator at 13ft not what we were hoping so we waited for a bolt. 2:1/2 hours later managed to pull the dog out and sure enough a vixen followed. After all that i decided to take the bitch home to rest and heal and we went on to another spot. Soon enough we dropped on again at 4ft thankfully. Dug down and this time the plummer dog had pushed the fox further on so we dug 2ft in front to drop on top of a nice vixen, fox removed, backfilled and dogs home to rest and recover all in all a good day out.

cheers for that matr shes a nice handy size bitch what lines she from.
she is from stonyford cerby x coalville mouse. Shes not been out alot really digging but been out a bit over last few weeks on a few digs and hopefully more to come. She stands about 12" i think so good for the tight spots mate and thanks

WELL WENT OUT FOR A WALK WITH 2 OF MY TERRIERS THIS MORNING. CHECKED 2 LOCAL EARTHS, THE FIRST HAD BEEN DUG RECENTLY SO I LOST OUT ON THAT ONE. CHECKED THE 2ND BUT NOTHING AT HOME AND TO BE HONEST DIDNT LOOK LIKE IT HAD BEEN USED FOR FEW WEEKS. DECIDED TO DRIVE TO ANOTHER BUT AS I GOT THERE I COULD SEE A BRITISH WATER VAN SO DECIDED NOT TO GO THERE AS IT WAS ON THE RIVER BANKING AND WOULD OF PROBABLY GOT A VISIT FROM THE POLICE :wankerzo4: SO TO END THE DAY I JUS HAD A WALK AROUND THE FORESTRY WHICH I DIDNT COME ACCROSS ANYTHING BUT OLD CHARLIE HAD BEEN AROUND AS THERE WERE BUNCHES OF FEATHERS EVERYWHERE. HERE ARE A FEW PIKS OF THE TERRIERS I TOOK WITH ME.
