  1. hi,just bought a cz lux 22lr, put 200 ely subs through it and was getting 1 inch groups at 40 yards . feeling really pleased with myself then i decided to try a tip i had read about cleaning barrel, strimmer line with knot in the end with cleaning patch, i cut a patch in half threaded the line through the barrel from the breech, 2 -3 inchs in the knot pulled through the patch :wallbash: now the patch is in is there, any way to get it out without taking to gun smith?thanks.

you could try a thin iron rod to push it out i did it before with a air rifle

  2. Hi all :)

I have a question regarding my rimmy and FAC so please bear with me.

Basically , about 2 years ago , the land where my rifle is registered has been sold on and i no longer have permission to access the land in any way , let alone shoot there

I was just wondering where i stand when my FAC comes up for renewel in about 2 years time. I do have permission to use my rimmy on a nearby farm , but the farmer is unwilling for me to register my rifle to the land due to the fact that he already has enough guns registered to his property.

I thought about joining a ' target gun club' to keep my license but a friend said that i would then only be able to use my rifle for target use , and only licensed to buy target ammo.

Any advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated ,

    John

your licence should be open by then so you should be ok

  3. Theres a field on my permission which is currently getting pestered by crows and rooks. It isnt safe to shoot this field (s**s law ) as there is a village church, footpath, playing field and primary school on its boundaries. However I can set up in the corner, in the neighbouring grassed field, beneath a large tree and close to the flight path over. Thing is not sure which is the best plan of attack as I only have one full bodied flocked crow decoy, but have twenty flocked pigeon shells on springs, a rotary and a set of hypa flappers.

    Options (I see) are:

OPTION 1 = set up the pigeon decoys and rotary with the hypa flaps and single crow just away from them. Pattern = the parallel 'highway' line out beneath the flightpath to try and entice them down off their flightpath

    or

OPTION 2 = get a dead rabbit and put it in the field under the flightpath with the single flocked crow (have no crow caller though)

Not entirely sure which is best, especially since the field I will set up in is grassed. Which do you think I would be best of using or can someone recomend a better alernative?? :hmm:

PS I'll obviously add any shot crows to the set up, if and when..

    Many thanks

    CAB

shot thease a few weeks ago with just two crow decoys and just kept adding the shot one`s, great fun, good luck with yours

  8. On the cz website i see there are alot of different variations of the CZ 452 rifles,

Is it just about personal preference? Or is there unique features?

I would like to have mounted sights, and a SAK moderator fitted to the gun once i have it so does that narrow down the choice of guns?

    Thanks In Advance,
