  11. was out with the hounds today hunted a massive fox for an hour before he used a locally well known sett... hounds were marking savagely i think the more foxs they get the better the hunting!!! we decided to let my young border have a look as we know this is only around 1 foot out in the field... in he flew and we could hear nothing... got a mark of 0.9 with the ortovox and sank the bar..... all we could hear was haevy breathing magic... we opened up asap and shot a massive dog fox... this was only the borders 2nd dig.... second fox only ran 2 fields and into a handy place in with my budds

  16. i used this set for the first time this weekend...... BRILLIENT is not the word for it!!! firstly the transmitter is half the size of the b+f which is a majour factor for me as i mainly dig tight earths fox run into and i think the b+f is a bit too big.... the ortovox is a bit more accurate aswell.... my old bitch rarly barks so sounding her is difficult but the box brought us bang on top of her.... as an experiment me and my buddy who has a b+f tested the two sets for accurracy ... the ortovox changed the reading as soon as i moved the transmitter but the b+f still gave out the same reading e
  17. yes timmy couldnt believe it after getting two foxs with him now...... but i still have no regaurd for him as a fox is still only a fox... good terriers will have them with their eyes closed.... he still failed the acid test

  21. we have one for our foxhound pack i have shot hundreds of foxs using the .22 pistol.... most of the time you have the fox handled so you can put right against the head so no chance of mishap
  22. was out yesterday wit hounds marked one in a wood it was pitch black cos of the cover we eventully dug to the gimp he had trouble getting up but when he did it was game over 3 foot deep.... next fella was marked in a massive ditch put in the gimp and we were getting a reading of over 6 foot under a tree but one of the lads saw the fox backing out i reached in as far as i could go and pulled out charlie and the gimp together handy sized vixen shot it with the pistol and hounds got their reward another good weekend!!!!!!
