Maybe but werent they bred for tougher game than we have. Lions etc? Idspose this would be long gone out of them by now but i would love to see 1/4 ridge 3/4 grey in action to see how it would do but id spose the lurcher breeds we have at the moment are there for a reason - I totally agree.. The fact in which they where bred for large game must mean somthing, This could be an interesting dog in my mind... I think that after generations they could make an awsome dog..

ive got a tracer and bought an extra battery its done me proud ive just sold my gun.. if your interested in it the batterys havent been used in a while so you might need a new one or two depending on how you use it and its got a red lense.....

i knew you were going to say that! i can't argue with that as i have a bull,grey x saluki,grey here! but imo the alaunt x sal would be too heavy as a first x. just my opinion though(same as in my opinion most first x bull grey are too heavy!) I see your point and coming from a family of bull x owners and i'm talking 5/8 bull i know they're too strong but could u imagine a 5/8 saluki/alaunt? Imagine after what i've seen this COULD be an awesome x?!

We now have a Bitch GSD, male lurcher, bengal cat and a hamster but at one point we had 2 working staffies, 1 gsd, 2 cats, 3 ferrets, 2 chinchillas and 2 hamsters and thats not including the babies that the chinchillas and the ferrets had lol!

I am interested in the Saluki X lurchers but was kind of wondering after my last post if such a superior race of dog, then how come nobody has considered the Alaunt X Saluki as me and my girlfriend would be very interested?

I'm looking for a kennel for my lurcher, any suggestions on the best palce to look for one? So far I have looked on ebay and Dog Heah etc. Are the Chain Link or Fence Masters any good? Or am I better at sticking with Galvanised?

The replys are excellent for me as this is the reason i posted. i did say leicester but can travel i would love to see one work can anyone help i am genuine im really trying to gain my knowlege as a lurcher man and hope people respect this, I would love to speak from expereince rather than what people say..

Is there anyone in leicestershire that would be willing to take me out with a saluki or cross as im really interested in the breed i have a lurcher myself and all my family have them but hate salukis so want to see this breed for myself as i was told they are stupid but am quite interested in one. Can anybody help help

Excellent little dogs when my young lad is old enough i wiil be buying him one. Not that there faint hearted dog ive seen some really strong little devils and would recomend

If you could throw in a working bitch i would snap your hand off.. But you dont do dogs do you .. I am interested im just leacing my options open until tommorow unless its a very good offer. But if by tommorow nobody is interested then i would be happy for it to go somwhere with good use and i will be in touch .. cheers danny
