Pembrokeshire Charity Sea Angler Match organisers are looking for anglers to come and wet a line at their annual charity fishing match next month. This year the organisation is raising funds for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association. CLAPA is a UK-based voluntary organisation helping those with, and affected by, cleft lip and palate. The group staged their first match in October last year, in which they raised in excess of £1,250 for the children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent. John Loring, Event Manager said, “The response to this year’s match has been overwhelming with support from far

i didnt want to breed them fuckwit i was told to by the vet ,she was losing weight and fur the vet recommended breeding her tried to get a vesectamised hob for a few weeks but couldnt find one as i didnt want the jill to get worse found a small hob to use .yes i know nothing about ferrets ,i bought them to work there housed well and well handeled if you have no advice f**k off ! I do agree that vet advice to breed was pretty poor to be honest as I would have thought they would have said jill jab or spay. Unless you want kits in the future, after these litters then I would either get the

If anyone lives near Stoke-on-Trent and can get up Hanley, there is a place called Dicksons which is a wholesaler that the public can buy from. They do allsorts there as well, dog, cat feed, horse feed, rabbit feed you name it. You pay virtually wholesale prices plus vat. Ferret Feast by Alpha Feeds is just over a tenner ( well was when I last got some about 2 months ago, for a 10kg sack, don't believe they do a 15kg do they?). I know that they do also deliver, but charge for it ( not a lot though, don't think). Not sure on delivery range either, I'm afraid. But I know that you can open accoun

I know I am cross posting from another forum and I hope I am not breaking any forum rules but wanted to post this in case this ferret belongs to anybody on here or if it has not yet been recovered whether anyone in the area would consider going to pick it up, if still there? Anyway here is the thread: http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/show...c=1#Post4633904

It wasn't anyone's on here then lol. But it's ok as the ferret's owner has been found and they have been to collect it I have read. So good news there

I am going to stick my neck out as I did vote yes. I did believe I lost a jill a couple of years ago due to her being in season too long. It wasn't because she wasn't mated as she had been to a vasectomised hob that I had. But that year for one reason or another he was not firing on all cylinders. I say this because after I lost my jill I noticed a couple more who still had swollen vulvas well after mating. I then mated them to whole hobs that I had to give the old boy a rest and therefore had 3 jills who had litters that season. One was a planned mating though and other 2 were one's that had

Update well I have asked to compare the colour with some photos of my mob and it seems like it may be a pale silver as I have one which has a cream undercoat with not much grey on top (can't see grey in pics though) so it seems like it may be that colour or else it is a discoloured albino. Person thinks it is young as it is small, so poss a kit from this year perhaps? or jill?

Hiya everyone. I haven't posted on here for a long while but for those of you who may remember I did some posts a while back on rabbiting and ratting and so on, creating a database for mainly horsey folk who may need pests controlling. I said it was started by a post on the Horse and Hound forum of which I am also a member, and I try and link the two forums wherever possible. Well today is another day for that really. Someone has posted on the forum saying they have found a ferret. Person is located in Shrewley, Warws. I don't know if a jill or hob for certain as the person who found it doesn

Hiya everyone, me again to ask about help with ratting again. I have checked my database and don't think I have this area covered, if I am wrong though can anyone who has previously given me their details get in touch with me if they are able to cover this area. Or if anyone can help please get in touch. Don't post can you pm me please? The person wanting help wants terriers and/or traps but no guns or poison. The location is Earls Court, London SW5. It is not a farm/horse location but is residential but rats are outside so using terriers should not be a problem as it is thought the nest is

That is very good going MM but sadly not all yards or indeed businesses are as clean as your yard and so they obviously will attract vermin if they can get access to any food. Also my post was not only in reference to horse related establishments as I have read that some people on the horse forums I go on have chickens and other livestock. My request therefore to set up a database of ratters and other forms of vermin killing was to try and assist not only horsey folk but also small holders and other people who keep livestock.

I knew straw was involved somewhere in it lol Found it the suggestion was made on a horse forum I go on it said: "Half fill a dustbin of water and sprinkle oats and straw on top - you have to add to it every few days as eventually it sinks. Leave it standing next to your bales of hay. Ratty will jump in thinking 'yum' - 'eek' - plop.....can't get out... and eventually will drown (eeooowww!!) And they sink too, so if you don't look every day you find them piled on the bottom!! First emptying of my butt - thinking the oats were making it pong - tipped the bin out, and o

Hiya Mike thanks very much for your offer Could I ask though, can you please pm me with a contact number that prospective clients with rat problems in your area can reach you on? I have asked this of everyone who has offered help. If I don't have a number then I won't be able to offer the services of people on here to anyone on the horse forums that I go on that need help with clearing rats. The main reason being time as I am acting as an intermediary between the two forums, hence the reason I am setting up a database so if I see anyone needing help or anyone asks me I can give them the detai

QR I just want to thank everyone for their support in this as I do feel it is a worthwhile venture. Thanks for the posts on this thread and also the pm's I have received. I have managed to reply to everyone. The support has been much more than I imagined and I am really chuffed. Can I please ask though if you have not already pmd me can you please do so. I know some of you have said that you will cover certain areas on this thread, but can I please have a pm with your name ( first name is fine) and a contact number so that I can pass this on to anyone who needs help in the areas you are willin

Hiya again everyone. For anyone who already knows about my previous requests then please skip the next couple of sentences, if not then read on. A few days ago someone on another forum I go on, a horse related one, the Horse and Hound forum, posted a topic about rats and dealing with them. Ratting was discussed. I also mentioned this too as it would be my first choice of dispatch for them anyway as it is far quicker and humane than any poison in my opinion. Anyway as a result of that post another member on the same forum also asked for help in another area. So I decided to post on here on the

Hiya everyone. Thanks for all the warm responses following my last post asking for help with rats in Essex and Oxon areas. Following on from a further post on the Horse and Hound forum of which I am a member of, I have been asked to enquire for help with rats in the South Derbyshire area. If anyone lives in or can cover that area and has terriers or other methods of killing rats then please pm me so that I can pass on your details to the person who asked me to find out. This is a genuine request. many thanks Caroline

Hiya people I have not posted on here for a while. For those that do remember me may remember I have ferrets and also horses amongst other things. I posted on here a while back on a link to another forum, a horse one who needed rabbits controlling. Again I have spotted a few posts on the horse forum I go on wanting some people with terriers if possible to get rid of some rats. I said I would post and ask on here. I will include the link to the thread so that you can see that I am speaking truthfully. You will need to register on the other site to respond to the posts or to private message the

Lol that made me laugh as I thought the same thing ( word use that was) before looking at the thread and I am a woman too, shame on me. No seriously though have not done that much jerking to be honest. I sea fish not freshwater and only jerk if I spin lures/worms/etc but don't get the opportunity to do that much really as I associate jerking with pirks and so on and don't get the chance to fish in deeper water on shore/pier/rocks very often and don't do much boating as it is expensive ( I think) and also I get sea sick which doesn't help. Would have to say though that if I were ever to take

Hiya I am new to this forum but not to ferrets, currently have 23 at the moment and I have been ferreting with a friend in the past. I am from Staffs so no where near to where people are asking for help in getting rid of some rabbits. I also have horses and I am a member on the Horse and Hound online forum as well. It is on that forum I have seen the requests for help in getting rid of some rabbits. I have suggested contacting Countryman's Weekly for one and either placing an ad or contacting them to see if they know of any people. I was searching on the internet and found this site so have
